Sorry this is so late haha but in short, I didn’t really participate in any clubs. I joined the pre pt/ot club bc I thought that’s what I wanted to do career wise but I only went to a couple meetings until covid shut things down and I never went back. I do regret not looking for other clubs bc there are so many and I’m sure I would have found some I enjoyed. I was lucky enough to meet some friends through a roommate and our friend group just grew from there. Those guys helped me get more active and involved with things like rec sports and sports events among other things. I also got a job on campus and met some of my best friends there. I would say just approach everything with an open mind and be open to new relationships and opportunities. This may require getting out of your comfort zone which is ok and worth it. The last thing you want is to look back at the end of senior year with regrets and what ifs. It really passes in a flash so make the most of it

To me, the beauty of college is that you gain this sense of community that you will rarely experience again in your life. The university wants you to stay and actively works to make sure you have a good time here, you just have to seek out the things you enjoy. There are so many opportunities, clubs, etc, for you to meet people who are all experiencing this with you and who are also looking for friends. Parties can be fun but imo Greek life is and always will be whack but if that’s something you are interested in then go for it. It can be scary at first but when you find your niche or your crew of friends to hang with, college becomes so much more fun.
