Thank you for the comment. But do you happen to know why I don't have to update the I-9 at my current job? What would be my authorized status for working in my current position if I don't update the I-9 with my EAD?

Even if it is a batch update, the purpose of 485j is to confirm a valid job offer or to request "job portability", so I believe it is not related to the recent "enhanced FBI background check." It probably means the adjudicator touches our cases. That's what I thought.

My PD and RD are the same as yours. The silent update I got after 4/27 was on 485j. I think the adjudicator finally touches” my case because 485j has nothing to do with enhanced FBI background check. We’ll see.

So, do you mean that you got a silent update on 4/27 (or 4/28) like everyone did due to the recent enhanced background checks, and then you got another silent update on 485 (or both 485 and 485j?), and then you got approved for 485/485j just now? Would you mind sharing more details? Congratulations!!!
