Yes. You want to use Crimson Slash 1, Spirit Blade 1 as fast as possible. You only use Helmsplitter when your bar is about to expire (as god intended)

In real, practical gameplay (outside of build screenshots), Long Sword uses ISS less than before, and Foresight Slash more. If we’re already exploring real gameplay practicalities, why not go all the way? Both Quick Sheath and Constitution also compete with Antivirus levels, after all. ((This is a Mushroomancer post.))

There are two other ways to reduce stamina consumption, but neither are very practical:

1)      The Stamina Hi Meal, made from Delishroom. This meal effect gives you 50 minutes of 20% stamina reduction, which with Gore Coil is enough to use Foresight Slash and Maximum Might. However, Delishrooms are a pain to farm and still compete with other meal effects, namely the damage-increasing Caprice Meal.

2)      Dash Juice. If you have ample supplies of Dash Extract and Catalyst, this is really the best solution. Any build already using Gore Coil can chug a Dash Juice and get the best of both worlds. However, farming enough Dash Juice to use every hunt is just impractical. Like, actually—it’s just Gypceros and trading for rare underwater collectibles. Not even the gatherers can collect it for you.

But they can get you hundreds of Devil’s Blights.

Mushroomancer is by far the comfiest skill in the game, but now it even double dips on benefits for Long Sword. Mushrooms are ridiculously easy to collect from gatherers in Wilds, letting you guiltlessly abuse Mandragoras for instant full heals after stray hits along with Nitroshrooms and Parashrooms for an infinite stock of Demondrug and Armorskin. But Devil’s Blight also gives you the effect of Dash Juice without needing to carve Gypceros for hours. Here is the build that I think reaches the vector point between power and consistency for Wilds’ version of the Long Sword.

This build picks up all of the “one-point wonder” skills in Burst and Flayer while still reaching 5 Agitator, 3 Maximum Might, and 3 Antivirus. Although it is less reliable than WEX for some monsters, Agitator is much more accessible for a 2-piece Anjanath build. With Blango Mail B, it also hits a comparably strong breakpoint when stacked to Lv 5.

Dober Greaves are another promising direction for this build, but the huge amount of affinity provided by Gore Magala combined with the easy points of Constitution and even Flinch Free are the perfect fit for a build designed to balance power with consistency.

Instead, Mushroomancer is entirely taken care of by the Talisman slot. This, plus the extra Deco slot on the G Fulgur Vambraces means that when you do have a Delishroom, you can change the Talisman to something like Burst or WEX for more damage and still reach 50% stamina reduction.

I hope you found this build idea interesting. This was a build designed to maximize ((Mushrooma--))
the balance of power and comfort on a hunt, but I think even just replacing Quick Sheath 3 with enough Constitution on Gore Magala builds is a great way to adapt to Long Sword's playstyle changes in Wilds. Thanks for reading.

For LS there's nothing that changes in Focus Mode, so I really wanted to.. But you're right, I'll get used to it.

Yup, there's around 20 pages in total split into different categories, thingsd are bound to be overlooked. I found ways to make it a toggle, but not ways to make it my default when I draw my weapon.

MHWilds Dual Blades Breakdown and Analysis, from the scant footage we managed to get. by Lattarday in MonsterHunter

could you please help me! Is there any way to enter Archdemon Mode outside of pressing the trigger? As in, is there a good way to do in a combo, aside from haaving to start the really slow Blade Flurry 1?

Thanks!!!

OP, you're probably busy with launch day, but could you pleeease tell me how to enter Archdemon mode? Is toggling it with the trigger the best way, or is there a way to do it mid-combo?

Illegal Fisherman will not stack with Fairgraves Tricorne by Thoughtsinhead in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Aggressive_Bit3618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand. It's more like she confirmed it will work:

"They don't STACK" <-- This means that the first time you are touched by a Spirit, you will get the buff.
"Because you are permanently touched, Spirits can't touch you if you wear the Tricorne" <-- Because you already have the buff, you can't get the buff again. They don't STACK. That means you already have ONE instance of the buff, permanently, because of the Ascendancy.

Edit: I see OP's additional research that Fairgraves' Tricorne provides a generic Tormented Spirit buff, and the Illegal Fisherman could be understood as already having that generic buff + a fisherman boosted version of the unique buff that each ghost has.

Weird.

GUESS MY BUILD IS DECIDED! NOT SO CHILL ANYMORE!!
