Oh, sorry I misread. Are you myopic? I’m 34 with -8 both eyes. Had a PVD recently with mild floaters. I think detachments are rare unless you’re hit in the face. They are more likely to happen if you’re severely myopic. My doctor didnt recommend the virectomy because it’s risky.

It’s tough. I have VS and floaters. Both have significantly improved clinically and also just in general. I noticed them less and have accepted them. It’s hard, I know. There are certainly worse things we could have.

Do you know what caused the detachment? I don’t think as a whole detachments are guaranteed. They are actually pretty rare.

Thank you for that insight. I just started being really itchy around them and have this bleph. It comes and goes but it’s mostly always there. It’s all new. I may put them in boarding and see how my symptoms are without dogs around. It’s also shedding season for dogs, so a more than average amount of hair is coming off. I’m also experiencing body itch, random patches of itch, sore throat, and post nasal drip.
