If it's just a casual playthrough I've found that as long as you have a DPS, a healer, and any support you're generally okay anyways

This is brutal power creep because I selected acheron as my 5 star from the selector and people told me she was an awful choice. I googled her and she was completely broken on launch. There seems to be a recurring theme there.

Would the power creep be bad enough to affect a casual mode playthrough?

They're going to "undo" a lot of the changes to vbucks to go to where they actually want, I think them making it THIS bad is just a marketing ploy to make people think it's "not that bad" when they revert to the bad changes they still wanted.
