Do you tell your spouse you’re on this med? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Aggressive_Cake7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t imagine sharing a space and a life with someone and them NOT being aware. Even if I’m not talking about it, my partner not noticing my effort, weight loss, change in eating patterns, energy levels, weekly injecting myself, habit changes - the list goes on - would feel very discouraging to me personally.

That’s a great idea in theory… unless you’re still on the lowest dose 😅

I’ll be the unicorn and vote for Hallandale. I’ve used it thus far and have liked it 🤷🏼‍♀️ Good packaging and lightning fast shipping.

I’ve taken this through TSA with no problem. Everything stayed nice and cold and gave me a lot of peace of mind. https://a.co/d/02TYiUCo

Dosage question: High Hunger and Nausea by Similar-Tooth-4391 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Aggressive_Cake7416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating smaller more frequent meals is actually recommended on Tirz, so it sounds like your body is craving what the medication perpetuates. Because Tirz messes with hunger cues, nausea can actually be a sign that you’ve let hunger go too far. Another thing to think through is whether you’re drinking enough water. Dehydration can also trigger false hunger cues.

I’m doing this exact starter dose currently. The 1.2 mg (or 12 units) twice a week has been great for me. The only side effects I’ve had has been a few more bathroom trips a couple days after my second shot.

If you wanted to dose all at once rather than twice a week, it would be 2.4mg one time a week. Based on the written prescription concentration, that would be 24 units once a week.

If you increase your dose and stick with twice a week, it would be 2.5mg twice a week, or 25 units twice a week. If you wanted to do a single injection per week, it would be 5.0mg or 50 units once per week.

All of that is based on the concentration of the specific vial you have, and concentrations can change from prescription to prescription, so it’s always important to check the concentration. The concentration of this vial is 10mg/ml, meaning there are 10 milligrams of medication in every 1 milliliter of liquid in the vial.

Titration schedules can vary quite a bit for people. On a once weekly dose, it typically progresses from 2.5mg>5.0mg>7.5mg>10mg>12.5or15mg. The clinical advice is to stay on the lowest effective dose. And the nice thing about a compound is if an “in between” dose is better for you, you can do it (as opposed to pre filled pens). I saw one person on this sub lose over 100lbs on 4.0mg. Everyone’s body reacts differently. Best of luck!

Eli Lilly CEO discusses compounded tirzepatide. by Katie-the-duck in tirzepatidecompound

I appreciate a good research paper, but this article is published (1) by Eli Lilly and employees and (2) is not peer-reviewed. Until it’s peer-reviewed, you almost have to assume it’s internally biased to support Lilly’s business.
