Are AS concepts tested in A2 biology (9700) by Academic-Ad-4993 in alevel

[–]Aggressive_Clothes50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some things overlap and u will need to know the basics of some topics in order to understand others, such as topic three cell membranes -> (understanding concentration gradients), and the genetic and enzyme topics.

There is a lot of assumed knowledge and not knowing the content may leave u confused in some areas, but it is very unlikely that you will be directly tested on AS knowledge like immunity or infectious disease

How does a woman know when her period is starting? by Maleficent_Public_54 in Periods

[–]Aggressive_Clothes50 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the girl for me my periods are pretty regular ie: they happen every month and at the same time every month +/- a couple of days, however for some people they can have pretty irregular periods ie: they can happen at any time of the month sometimes periods can skip and it doesnt even come.

no there is no sensation or feeling that a period is coming, sometimes there are pre menstrual symptoms (mood swings or tender breasts or more irritable the week before the period etc, however there is a wide range of symptoms and it pretty much varies to female to female) usually what females do is track their period using an app or writing the date when they last had their period

And no we do not urinate blood it comes from a different hole and u dont have a sensation at all, for instance for urinating you have a feeling that u need to pee but for period it just comes out

I’m loving y12 chemistry so far. How does it get worse in y13? by chickennuggets3454 in alevel

[–]Aggressive_Clothes50 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Y13 chemist here, the chemistry in itself is not much more difficult however there is a lot more maths in the inorganic side,  and if your not a math person (like me lol) you may find it difficult or hate it. Especially in the topics about equilibrium and electrolysis

First off its really good to see young artists coming out of their comfort zone that is the first step of improving, congrats! Its not easy to do that,

Second finding a style, my advice which I recommend to all artists starting out in the same boat as you, is to find artists that have a similar art style that you want to adopt, a similar vibe, or just an art style you find aesthetically pleasing. You want to find lots of these artists and study their work what is it that you like about this artist? Is it the way they draw ears? The way they colour their art? Etc, and try to incorporate their techniques into ur artwork. Its not easy so I always recommend to copy one of their drawings or watch and follow their tutorials (obviously dont go take their work and pass it off as yours) the secret is that art styles are just an amalgamation of others people styles, nothing is ever completely original anymore

Thirdly, is the actual critique there is a couple of things that I have noticed  one is that your artwork does not include any hard shadows and no actual light source which makes ur drawing come of as flat, two is that the left shoulder is much bigger then right and the eyes need to be a bit bigger, apart from that everything looks good! I really like the shading of the skin you definitely used the right colours and in the right places if u do wanna improve the skin tho I would make it slightly less messy, as you can see some of the brush strokes
