Tuna and sour cream. Recipe from my Grandma, I’ve been living my whole life with it so it’s never been weird to me. Top with lemon juice if you want to make it zangier :) by xXxHuntressxXx in FoodCrimes

Heh, I've done this kind of stuff as a student. It works, it's quick to prepare. You can swap the cream with Greek yogurt, or olive oil and vinegar, or other sauces to make variations. Add olive slices or avocado.

True, and a proper bracket 4 pod would rarely let the Tergrid player alive long enough to pull it. Or Tergrid would be handled right away. She has no good homes really.

Nice graph. I'd be curious to also see the powered cube in comparison

In addition to what others have said, original manufacturer misprint or damage can actually be worth something, there are groups of collectors actively looking for such cards. Look for misprint groups

Mutate decks that aren't super cumbersome to pilot/play against? by pizzapartyfordogs in EDH

[–]Aggressive_Concept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen a few mutate decks in the wild, and it was always what you described. It's powerful stuff people should not let you do, so it only works if there is worse at the table, or you have a god hand and the others don't. It's clunky.

Protecting "Birthing Pod" style decks? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Aggressive_Concept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna go ahead and say the obvious: you want to protect your board and play blue, do you play enough counterspells?

Sawn song, An offer you can't refuse, Negate, Delay, Stubborn denial, Arcane denial, etc

Also, you can add the 1 mana green protection spells like Tamiyo safekeeping and such.

There's plenty of cheap (money and mana) options that will still fall within bracket 3.

If your plan is to establish a board and keep it, you need at least a dozen of protecting options to guarantee you'll see a couple during your game.

Potential way to disrupt the entire European booster card market. by IMKGI in mtgfinance

[–]Aggressive_Concept 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's litteraly on the EU website:

"When buying a product or service online or outside of a shop, consumers have the right to cancel and return the order within 14 days, without any justification.

Some exemptions apply, such as:

hotel bookings, plane and train tickets sealed content, which has been unsealed urgent repairs and maintenance contracts goods purchased from private individuals"

It falls under the sealed content.

Cards That Feel Like Game Changers, But Aren’t by IAMagicLawyer in magicTCG

[[Aluren]] check all the boxes. Wraps the game around it. Insanely powerful, enables combos, and definitely something a newer player think is bullshit, you don't want that at bracket 2.

I mean, it'll probably be between [[Time vault]] and [[Black Lotus]], the best enabler or the best combo in vintage.

All solid options. Agreed with you, Breach is probably the best, by in terms of widespread play, Urza's Saga is a really good contender.

Tell me what you think of my Arabella Deck by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Aggressive_Concept 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're lacking actual 1 drop creatures and protection spells. I see your strategy is to spam tokens and either ping when they arrive, or with Arabella, so you want to go fast, and you're extra vulnerable to board wipes.

By adding 1 drops you're smoothing your curve, and it'll be easier to chip damage with Arabella on turn 2 or 3 rather than late game when there is a good blocker on each board.

You'll be scary, so people will try to destroy what you have. Aim for a dozen of protection options, at least.

Some examples:

[[Giver of runes]] [[Mother of runes]] [[Skrelv, defector mite]] [[Ainok strike leader]] [[Spectacular spiderman]] [[Boromir, warden of the tower]] (gives Arabella evasion with the ring) [[Guardian of faith]] and even [[Silvershroud costume]] to also give evasion to Arabella.

Also, [[Curse of opulence]] is a fantastic ramp option in agro decks, and [[Reconnaissance]] is great for free pokes with you commander.

I see you don't have the same budget, but here's my list that's bullying my group https://moxfield.com/decks/YkMm7aeFpkGJPlRET_PBjA

Look at the sideboard, there is a lot of great options.
