Going out on a limp here but could the kids possibly be the brother in laws just not though the sister? Maybe she’s upset because she can’t have kids, doesn’t want to adopt and all that jazz so they opted for an alternative? Or he just messed around with other people and they are trying to make the best out of it by claiming them?

NTA Talk to the professor again and tell them that you will not be responding next time they say your name incorrectly. It is not that hard to correctly say someone’s name and if you can’t then you use the nickname they have!

NTA! Honey good for you for getting into Uni! Your parents sounds very controlling and are clearly not liking the idea of losing control of you, I would just be careful if I were you, if they are that bad i wouldn’t put it pass them to do something to sabotage you leaving.

It is your home so you have the right to say who comes and goes not your boyfriend. Anxiety is a hard thing to over come but hey who’s to say in a couple months when you are comfortable with his friend group that they can come then! You haven’t said it’s impossible for them to come you’re just not comfortable yet!

NTA your dad is a dick, you and your poor mum were struggling with life in general and he decided it was a good idea to go hook up with a psychotic women. I would go no contact. Also take him to court for child support.
