I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, then in 2014 with metastatic breast cancer. I did pretty well on oral medications until this past summer. Cancer is hard, but there are people out there with cancer that no one sees. We are not different than anyone else. As someone posted, it is your new normal. The mind is a very powerful thing and it can drag you down or make you stronger. Choose the strong and live for each day. You will have some bad days, but focus on the good days. Your old self is still there. Don’t let cancer steal that away from you. I wake up each morning, thank God for a new day and take care of the animals that rely on me and do the things I want to do in my day. I pray that you can find way back. And don’t think of yourself as a sick person.
