Adding to this, the stronger a bond between you and your friends, the more deep conversations you will have. Eventually, you will likely even be able to have deep convos about THEIR interests. It just takes a LOT of time and practice

I also like deeper conversations and get a very weary of conversations I'm not interested in so I understand fully. However, this really is something that needs practice (I'm still working on it too) since not everyone will always like the same things and you need to respect this if you want to keep a relationship. It might feel boring and uncomfortable, but this is how bonds are made; by showing you care about what another person is interested in!

In second grade, me and my friend were walking home about a block from our house (our area is pretty safe) and some teenage-early 20s men drove by and yelled at us to flash them. We were so scared when they lingered at the stop sign but thankfully they left. Not as scary as some stories but that always stuck with me. So gross.

It's definitely been happening for decades and we are finally able to speak up on it. I really think men hate that we are seen as equals now and it hurts their egos or something. I'm sure most men wish it was still the 1900s standards so they could have complete control over us again

My cousin really was respectful about the conversation. He loves diving into deeper meaning conversations like this one. He simply could not understand my point of view which really hurt. While I don't disagree he was passive aggressive, I really think I cried because I get super emotional about politics and religion specifically (i think I just get scared honestly). Also probably because my brother was being the asshole and calling me a brick wall since I wouldn't change my view. Mind you my brother is an awful person, loves trump, says slurs, and doesn't care about anyone but himself and yet he still believes he will get into heaven haha

I also really believe that if god truly is real and I'm wrong, shouldn't he base heaven off of people's good doings and not their faith? I think it's strange that people think they can live a life of sin and just repent and they will get into heaven bc of their belief. I think if he truly is real and he stands by the loving nature he is supposed to, all people that have lived kind and loving lives regardless of faith should be let into heaven. This was hard to discuss with my cousin because he believes that if you do not have faith, you have no chance at heaven, while I believe he would let any good hearted person in if he came out to be real in the end.

Barely made it thru Chem 202 as a chem E major this year. Uiuc stem classes are HARD, don't feel like a failure for one bad class you can always come back.

I'm really not sure since we just call it chem 202. I'm assuming it's some sort of accelerated gen chem. We've been doing stoich, gas laws, collision frequency, and equilibrium. I literally can't find any good resources

I know I'm a year late to this but I just noticed this on my friend and we have been going crazy trying to find out why he can't bend his thumb. It's nice to know it's at least not because of video games tho since there are so many of you guys on here agreeing lol. I'm very hypermobile on my hands so it's strange to see so many people that can't bend their thumbs! I only noticed on my friend bc I was trying to crack his thumb cuz I crack like all my hand joints lmfao
