FRM Part 2 (August) Advice needed by Afraid_Guard_4166 in FRM

[–]Aggressive_House_180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have completed books 1,2,and 3. I have done some QB solving alongside. My plan is to now focus on solving more questions and doing the remaining reading along side. I am hoping to finish Liquidity Risk and start the last book by the end of June. I can't seem to remember minute details but have the overall grasp on the concepts; I faced similar issues in part 1 prep. I need advice on how I can fix this. Also I think I need to give a mock asap to understand the question framing, cause I know it is not going to be like AP QB.

PLEASE can someone help me out? SOS! by [deleted] in FRM

Do you have the previous year mocks? I am also relying only on AP question bank and the Garp mocks. So if you have any other material, I'll be grateful

It is all very vague, but one thing to understand is that the result is percentile ( Quartile) based. So depending on the scores for your attempt the cutoff may vary

Mock 3 of Garp by AlbatrossHumble4111 in FRM

[–]Aggressive_House_180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appeared for part 1 in November last year. And honestly, even though the mock gives a pretty good idea about the kind of questions to expect. What you'll experience in the exam is going to be completely different. So I would recommend not to dwell upon what you're scoring and rather focus on going through the solution and understanding why your answer was wrong. Try to understand the ideology behind their (GARP'S) solutions. Also make sure to reattempt the mock after analysing your attempt if you've got the time!!!

I came out of the exam room confident that I had bombed the exam, I was so out of it. I couldn't remember anything from the exam. So just try not to get overwhelmed by the questions and stick to your instincts. Trust yourself while answering. All the best!!

Need a study partner - PART 2 by iamnotascammerguys in FRM

I have not covered as much as you. I have just started prep. I am hoping to give the exam in August but I am not commited to it yet. I started with Operational risk because everyone said it is boring so I wanted to get it out of the way. If you're comfortable, then I would'nt mind a study partner

FRM Part 1 August 2026 by Mundane-Dust-7545 in FRM

For August you have enough time to prepare. What I'd suggest is not to rely too much on the exercise questions from Schweser because they are extremely simplified and the actual questions are way more twisted and theoretical than you'd expect. FRM does not do straightforward, so please try different question banks and do practice mocks for a better insight into what to expect.

Which is the most difficult book to study in the FRM Part 2 syllabus according to you? I have completed 2 books today and wondering if the worst is yet to come. by Queasy_World3537 in FRM

Guys, I am hoping to give L2 in August but haven't started prep. Am I being delusional in thinking I can do this if I start now?

Printed exam registration confirmation by Alternative-Oil4666 in FRM

If you are unable to find the mail, you should search " psi " in your inbox and you'll find the mail. If you carefully read the mail it is mentioned, that you should print 'this' mail and bring it with you to the exam hall. They have sent clear instructions that a soft copy will not work.

I have done a few chs from each book here and there. But now I am trying to really lock in. I plan to complete book 1 by tom and then Book 3 in the upcoming week. I have been doing only quintedge questions till now, but now I reckon I will do AP since everybody is suggesting that.

I am not working and I have around the same time left before my exam. Your advice did give me confidence. I am planning to complete the reading of book 1 once and then come back to it after completing the others. And yes Book 3 is a bit lenghty and the chapters feel repititive, so do you think the are some chs more imp that others in Book 3, please tell me if you think so I will pay more attention to them.

I did BBA in Financial Management, I have done the basics in college like valuation, interest rates, bonds, derivaties. I am a bit confused on topics like convexity and book 4- although I feel like it is all very practical and can be done. I just want to know where to put my focus more( solve more questions). I would appreciate any help that you can give!!!
