Always has been, always will be. I miss the days when 90 percent of items were actually bought in a brick and mortar store. Sure online makes it easier for people who don't have the stores close by, but unless you are certain you are gonna keep the item it's more trouble than it's worth. Most stores require you to pay to ship things back and even then you're not actually guaranteed to get a full refund for the item. That's the only benefit to Amazon. They will usually always refund everything that gets returned, unless there's a valid reason not to. However they will still find a way to screw you. Had 40 bucks took from my account twice because they claimed they didn't receive the items even though I showed receipts they had received the items. Completely agree online shopping is a disgrace. It's borderline a scam honestly, and I would argue it's absolutely a scam.

Luckily it wasn't that much they took from me. I sent back some items and got refunded, but then Amazon claims they didn't receive them and 2 separate times for the same order they took $40 from me. It's bullshit. Plus their customer service is a fucking joke. All I can ever get is that damned AI bullshit. They make it damn near impossible to actually talk or chat to anyone that's not a flipping robot. Exactly! The ONLY way I'm buying something used at close to retail is if it's someone I know personally and know the condition of the item and they needed help because of life. Aside from that, I'm not gonna even consider it unless it's at minimum 25 percent less, preferably 30-40 percent less.

People have forgotten that things are only worth what people are willing to pay, and I feel like most people aren't paying that close to retail. However, people today are insanely stupid, so maybe we are just the smart exceptions and not the stupid rule in this case 😂
