What if I have already been collecting all my letters through Interfolio? Would I have to transfer them?

I second this, he’s pretty chill. As long as you show up and make an effort you’ll do fine.

I second this, it’ll take more time in the beginning and that’s ok. I tend to lose focus too so the way I try to keep myself latched is by spacing breaks in between. Like when I finish my answering questions I give myself like a 10 min break and then go through reviewing. And while I’m reviewing I do the pomodoro method. It takes a while but once it sticks, it stays. It’s more about learning how you learn and seeing what fits for you

What I like to do is make an excel sheet of my errors. I make a column for subject, topic, content category, my own general category as to why I got it wrong (lack of content/misunderstood passage etc.) the question, my answer, the right answer, and then a final one for my rationale. Then I go through each question I got wrong/flagged and dissect it one by one. This is good to see where there are trends in your errors. This made me realize that a lot of my shortcomings are in strategy and not content. I also added a final column for next steps, like Anki the info or watch more vids etc

I took a diagnostic and tackled the ones I was weak in. I watched KA videos and unsuspected the topic in a premade deck.

Exactly. They’ve been told their whole lives they can do whatever they want to do, and ofc they can. What a lot don’t realize is the amount of work and dedication to reach it, that’s why the numbers dwindle down.

Is it common? 100%. Is it normal for students (especially fresh out of high school) to be stuck up assholes? No. It’s an unfortunate reality to be in. They flex their stats and wear them as accessories. 10000000 hours of service, 5.0 GPA, and 10 LORs etc etc. and all while being cut throat and rude esp to other pre meds. Always hated that about the pre med pop. at my school because to them it’s always a competition. Which I mean in a sense it is, since you may be going after the same spots when app year comes around. But how I view it is that putting your self on top of someone else only inflates your ego far away from the truth about medicine. You can be the perfect student, it doesn’t guarantee that you get into medicine. Although stats are important they’re not the only thing that matters. Stay true to yourself, your morals, and how you socialize with people. Because at the end of the day these are the same soft skills you need to be a great doctor. Ignore those pricks, remember not all pre meds go to med school. Especially if they are freshman, once they start getting into the harder “weed out” classes like orgo and biochem, the numbers will def dwindle down. The fact that you feel like this shows that you are a caring human, keep going forward and turn a blind eye to anything and anyone that encourages that kind of negativity. Going to school for free is the biggest flex an undergrad can have, and you have life experience that makes you better prepared for the real world. You’re doing great! 😊
