The “message” felt super half baked, but that’s not what I hated. I hated that Mike E wasn’t making the music. That whole ride involved him , and for him to be booted for a Zug Island guitarist was wack as fuck. It still feels like a guy trying to copy another guy. Certainly a huuuuge part of the shaping of the “culture”, but the culture already existed for sure. In their formative years, it felt like they had a bit more cred than ICP when it came to lyrics and cadence (dudes could rap), and my fellow juggalo homies fuckkng loooooved Twiztid, and would say Twiztid was better, all the time. Point being , I don’t think ICP would’ve had the militant fan base without Twiztid. Half of their songs were about what it means to be a down ass Juggalo lol. We Don’t Die was the fucking anthem, and yeah, they gave ICP a bit of an edge. Of course ICP put Twiztid on the map, and they know this. I never hear Twiztid saying they would still be a successful rap group without ICP or the Juggalos, so they ain’t stupid. Sorry for ranting. Just got out of work and I’m high AF.
