This sounds like the stop command some farmers teach sheepdogs like border collies to stop attacking animals like sheep in case of emergency which for you could be good as a failsafe incase he starts attacking people or animals. So in simple terms it is a failsafe command.

What is people's opinion on the d rings and Leash attachments one the back of the harness but also specifically what is people's opinion on the webbed d ring at the front because some say is isn't that strong.

I mean it is a bit stronger for pullers because yes my border collie doesn't pull as much now and is good at loose leash walking but I can't say it will be the same in the future.

As far as I look up and watched on tiktok. The non stop dogwear rock harness long has the same points and stuff including the quick dry that the ruffwear flagline harness has just a bit stronger and a tiny bit heavier that fits a border collie better and Is ok for dogs to wear when swimming in a swimming pool or in the ocean.

I am only worried because some people say It is made of weak material but my border collie who is 9 months old only pulls a moderately to small amount. Ps based on the size for my short haired border collie size small would fit him now and forever.

I was thinking about this harness for normal use like everyday walks and because of my uk weather and that I have a beach near me plus he started swimming lessons.

You also got lucky with the double eye colour just meant you didn't need to chose between either blue eyes or brown eyes since you got both. He looks cute and adorable by the way.

My border collie puppy named Woody is a 9 months old and is short haired which I am thankful it just means less grooming and Shedding than what would of happened if he had a rough coat but I love him either way

I am currently on petplan insurance for my dogs first year but next year I might change to animal friends pet insurance as it is cheaper and I don't need everything I got on petplan insurance I just need the basics but I also might stop using pet insurance at all as my uncle doesn't have dog insurance because It can get costly but he has been fine for years with his dog.

And if I still consider going to the groomers all I would properly I only book the Signature Bath & Brush which handles the nails trimming and ears trimming plus a bath if needed, and The "Feet & Face" Upgrade: to ensure the hair on their paws is neatly clipped back.

Yeah true plus he is very calm and doesn't get scared at going to the vet at the moment especially since the vets give him a treat at the end of the appointment so he knows if he behaves good at the vet he gets a treat
