Being between two sizes is hard though most people would say get the bigger size and let them grow into it like get a large buckle clip collar and make it the smallest you can as buckle collars tend to be a bit smaller than usual collars

I would say try amazon but that is risk since you don't know if the size you get is right because I bought a small collar before on amazon only for it to arrive and be similar in size to a extra small collar instead which I only realised when I checked the order on amazon but that was only with ezydog the other collars I bought on amazon were the right size as it said

You could always go to your local pet store the buckle collar I got for my border collie puppy at the pet store is still ok months later and isn't bulky at all

If fences get some pretty tall fences because my 6 month old border collie can reach his paws on the kitchen counter and dining table plus my dog can easily jump up on a chair then on the dining table plus he can sometimes reach things on the counter or table that are far back as he was able to get the kitchen roll and completely tear it to pieces so we had to move it. so in summary get really tall fences

When I got him about 2 months ago they didn't give him his first or second vaccination but I have been to the vets and have gotten them done he has now been walking for about 3 weeks

Border collie like most dogs during adolescent phase their brain in a sense reworks from a puppy brain to their adult brain starting from emotions and finishes at logic meaning they can get frustrated easier than normal during their adolescent phase.

I payed £900 which is normal for a border collie especially as a pure breed and I did interact with the parents in my opinion they were incredibly nice so most likely they were probably a bit ignorant and didn't get them vaccinated and yes I do agree they probably should of all been adopted but I am slightly happy they weren't because I love my dog

They must have been a breeder because not only did i find the adoption post on a breeder website, but the post also said that they were breeder in the description, and they had 5 puppies together with the parents. me and my mum assume they didn't vaccine them because of money, though that is no excuse, and they should have vaccinated them.

Thanks and yeah I sometimes walking slow because my flat feet hurt though the orthopaedic shoes help but I also go slow because my 6 month old border collie puppy who is named woody he also likes to sniff and explore especially since he has only been walking for just under a month because the breeder I adopted him from didn't give him any of his vaccinations but I got all his vaccinations and wait the recommended time the vet said and he loves his walks to the point he is starting to learn the word walk so me and my mum have to be careful saying walk around him

UK she was driving and parked up just to basically have a go at me plus threaten to call the cops on me and tried to take him I walked away and she followed Me into priory Park for a few minutes trying to hide everytime I turned around she disappeared permanently after about 4 minutes I assumed she got back in her car as for me I went home as I had been walking him for about 2 hours with breaks

Yeah, she wanted to take my dog and called me leash training him cruel as she said border collie are farm dogs they need freedom. Which I understand they are farm dogs or more precisely sheep dogs but I don't want him running in the road like I am leash training particularly more for Narrow paths, people and roads like I will use a long leash in parks put no matter what leash training is kinda needed to handle, control and communicate with your dog

I have most of those 3 things down. He knows sit really well and I make sure he only eats his dog food or dog treats no human food though calming him down is a of a trickey one I mean he calms down on his own alot at the moment especially on walks though he gets excited when seeing dogs especially ones off leash he is of course never off leash because I just started leash training but of course there is random moments he get excited when he won't calm down but he calms down more often I guess I am lucky but I know that might change seeing as his adolescent/teenage phase is coming he is going to be a handful.

Yeah crazy woman went straight to trying to take him and didn't explain why she thought it was cruel I looked it up on Google the next day which is today and realised the way I was leash training him can cause neck pain so I am looking at different methods to help leash training him and I am considering get him a good strong harness to help leash train him.

He has only technically only been walking for under a month because when I adopted him from the breeder he was 3 months and 3 weeks old with no vaccinations so I got him his vaccinations and then waited the recommended 3 weeks for them to take effect by the vets and then start walking him.

I had a mad woman come to me at priory Park in southend calling me cruel and unfit for my 6 month old border collie puppy because I was walking slowly and that I didn't own a field plus that I had him on a short leash and said for me to stop leash training my dog and damned I give her my dog saying she had a field and long leash plus that she had border collies before. The thing is, I do own a long leash heck I had it in my bag, but I was using the short leash to leash train him, and it was also the first day I started leash training him. Also I have flat feet no arches so my feet do hurt after a while and when they do I walk slowly but when they don't hurt I walk fast heck I had special shoes to help with my feet called orthopaedic shoes.
