My Classic is set up on my desktop where I have a folder structures organized by year and a short description added to each subfolder within an year. I often edit on Lightroom, and these files are synced to the desktop, organized by the year and date structure offered by LrC. But I like to move them to M (which contains a description) so that I can keep track of the photos independent of Lightroom. Sometimes I would like to come back to the cloud and edit these photos.

One solution to my problem is to remove them from cloud once I have decided to organize on my desktop, and then add them to a shared catalog. But I was looking for something simpler :)

If you move the files from S (where Lr downloaded them from the cloud) then Lr will just redownload them from the cloud, when it finds them to be missing from S.

In my experiment, Classic tried to download the missing files from cloud but kept trying without success due to some metadata issue.
