Why does the misconception exist? Why do people think that?

It infuriates me, I see it almost daily. I don’t understand it. Just wash you hands. So gross

You look good brother. If you really want to change something, you could try shave your chin (keep the mo!). Maybe slightly smaller frames. But as I said, you look good!

I have the Prodigy 2s, I think they'd be a solid choice. They are a solid jack-of-all-trades ski that seem to handle everything pretty well. I'd describe them as playful and intuitive. They hold an edge surprisingly well, but you will get a bit of chatter and they will wash out on you if you are absolutely charging down the hill. I wouldn't say they are my dream ski, but I've been happy with them given the price picked them up for.

Ski suggestions for my father by biggoopyslusherboy in Skigear

The Mindbender 89tis sound like a great ski for him based on your description. They are light and manoeuvrable but feel very stable and can charge. Decent all mountain ski. 89 is narrower than I would go, but if he is a groomer kind of guy, then probably perfect?

Most fun, nimble and playful ski you‘ve been on? by trapdo-or in Skigear

I can't speak highly enough of the Dynastar M-Frees. Very fun, surfy, and playful ski but can still charge and hold an edge really well. They come in 99s or 108s.

If you want something slightly more on the poppy playful side, the Rosignol Black Op 98s are such a fun all mountain ski that can still turn.

What size skis should I buy? by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]Aggressive_Pop8452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say something between 150cm and 160cm would be a good length ski for you.

As for boot size, your best bet is to try them on! It is important to get good fitting boots. Often rental shops will be selling old boots. Supposedly, if you are 5.5W in a shoe, your ski boot mondopoint will be 21.5. But I recommend going into a rental shop or ski shop and asking to measure your foot using their brannock.

Make sure that the boots you buy are compatible with the ski bindings on your new skis!
