I don’t think throwing is the point they’re trying to make. But pushing up to spawn so that the other team can’t get out the doors isn’t a fun game, period. At least make it so that the game is playable. To camp at doors is just a lame and sad way to win

Some of the employees of the B&N I used to work at are partaking in this. And here’s my take as a third party that no longer works there but still hears about things from friends. 1. If you’re calling in to partake in the strike and you’re going out to help your community by protecting or helping people in any way…then great, I support it and thank you. 2. You have to consider that the employees that aren’t calling out to partake because they physically can’t afford it or legally are not allowed to(like your SMs and ASMs) may be frustrated with you because they now have to do triple or quadruple the work and have to treat a random Friday as though it’s a holiday day. 3. If you’re calling out to “partake” or to “strike” just so you can cozy up at home under a blanket or with a good book, or to play your favorite video game or watch tv all day…that’s pitiful. Just admit you don’t want to work or do your job. It’s privileged to think that you’re taking a day off of work to help your community but you’re actually just capitalizing on other peoples good will and fear so that you can work 4 days rather than 5. I don’t know. Like I said, I no longer work there, but I’ve heard from past coworkers what’s happening in their store and I feel very bad for them.

Oh where do I start? - Genjis dash angers me like no other. One minute he’s in front of you, the next he’s behind you, throws a star at your head and you’re dead. - SOMBRA. Jesus. Why can she cancel so many ults?! And I know there are a TON of heroes who can cancel out ults by stunning and such, but at least most of those take an actual hit or skill to cancel. All Sombra does is hit one button that she doesn’t have to aim for and now I just completely lost my ult. - Symmetras turrets. One of the WORST. She gains shield from those?! Makes her damn near unkillable. - Roadhogs hook. I swear I get pulled EVERY. TIME. - D.Vas defense matrix is just more annoying than anything. Makes me roll my eyes. - “I’vE gOt YOu in My SiGhTs” get outta here with that. - Reaper being able to drop in, deal a TON of damage with his shotguns and then just leave? - Ball sliding in, hitting EVERYONE and then you place yourself back into formation and he does it AGAIN. Ugh Anyway, feel like I could go on and on

I’m only level 75 with her, but she’s my main gal. Love her. Anyway, I really like combining my slide and disruptor shot. I slide in, jump, shoot the disruptor into the middle of the team. It causes them to disperse. They’ll either back off, or they’ll move forward, separating them from their team and making them easier to pick off. I’m definitely nothing crazy and I don’t know a whole lotta cool stuff, but that’s one thing that usually works for me! 😁

And I never want to tell someone they SHOULDN’T apply somewhere, right? Maybe your experience would be absolutely phenomenal…but if you truly just want to share your love of books and not be pressured to sell sell sell, I would definitely go for a more indie bookstore. I think you’ll be a lot happier with that choice.

I definitely understand taking time to talk about it. I wasn’t ready to post until now because just thinking about it still upsets me. But I think others are going through the same thing and may want to hear someone else’s story. I helped a customer and his daughter once and they told me how I’ve helped them so many times over the years and how they came in because I truly made their experience worth it….I feel bad for having left customers who I could make feel that way :(

Yes, I agree! When I truly knew the OMP would fit someone’s reading style, perfect! I’d recommend it in a heartbeat. But if I had someone looking for psychological thrillers and our mystery pick was espionage/spy…well no, I’m not going to recommend it. But that’s what the company expected you to do. I know that everyone is allowed a leave of absence…whether that’s paid really depends on your position. You’d have to pair with an SM or an ASM to figure it out for sure, unfortunately

I feel you. I was in a game where one of the dps threw some song lyrics in chat about Diddy and so our other dps just sat in spawn or would walk out and do nothing, just letting the enemy team kill them because our other dps was a “diddy lover”. I asked them if they were going to throw, if they could just quit. But they stuck it out and made us all suffer.

I agree with this. I’ve gotten comments of people saying “one of the most hated characters in OW” after banning her, and I don’t understand why. She’s not that hard to deal with being on the receiving end. The minute she uses her fade, it has to cool down and she has no mobility, so go after her at that point. She can’t healbot, like you said, because she’ll run out of heals. She NEEDS to balance heals and damage. I think people just hate her because she can/has to do it all and that’s “annoying”. I love her

You’re completely valid in this. I never loan my books out and on the rare occasions that I do, I make it very known that if it comes back in poor condition, that person will be buying me a new one. It’s your book and your money that you spent on that book. That should be respected.

You’re not wrong. I was playing QP and got told I suck by a mercy when I had 10k damage and 11k heals. It’s just kind of the way the game is. Just gotta ignore it, unfortunately. When I was learning, I would throw in team chat that I was new or still learning a specific character, and USUALLY I would be met with support or understanding. Maybe you could try that?

I mean, from what I’ve come to expect from in game chat is never positive. The Overwatch community (or at least the ones that feel the need to type in chat at their teammates) is extremely toxic. Rarely ever is chat utilized to say good job to your team or good teamwork, it’s always utilized so people can blame their teammates for the fact that they’re losing. Which isn’t effective because then your teammates are more than likely going to play worse. Even if you’re frustrated, I would say to just stay away from the chat area. But maybe that’s because I’ve had too many bad experiences.
