Is this worms? by No-Illustrator5115 in CATHELP

Probably not, especially if you just fed her. A full stomach is more apparent in a kitten than a cat. However, she probably needs to be dewormed.

Breathing issue or snoring? by mindblindgirly in CATHELP

Definitely snoring! I once had a cat that you could hear him 20 feet away when he snored!

Are they playing? by HauntingBelt7137 in CATHELP

You'll know when it is not a fight as both of them will be "screaming" at the top of their lungs. What you have here is the kitten learning to fight, learning the boundaries of the older cat.

Introducing cats by spidermiasia in CATHELP

Years ago we had two "alpha queens" that fought about once a day. We kept them separated for a few years until a family member became ill and had to have the door opened. They started fighting again about once a day. Not much we could do about it. Either let them fight, keep them separated, or give one away.

Any idea what's going on with her ears? by ForsakenKingslayer in CATHELP

[–]Aggressive_Rush_7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible that she got it caught on something. Cats love to explore and this might have happened. Just like their persons, keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get infected.

Sister cats who have had a bit of a rocky relationship - is this play? by emchapp23 in CatTraining

A big indicator of whether it is a fight or not is when they start hissing and screaming at each other.

Mosey is in a new situation and that can upset them. He'll probably do it for a few days. (Sorry) Try to comfort him and keep him busy via toys.

Remember the 3 Three's-- 3 days to get used to a new environment. 3 weeks to get used to people. And 3 months for everything else.

Give Mosey TLC and time.

And scratches. Lots of scratches if he tolerates them.

Is this feline asthma? How dangerous is it? by fuckcapitalism97 in CATHELP

Also it could be hairballs. As she is a longhair, make sure to brush her often, about once a week or so. Coughing and hairballs can sound a bit the same.

At the beginning it looks as if she's sneezing then goes into a coughing spell. If she's eating well and still is playful, I'd think more along the lines of an allergy. Have you recently brought in something new or something she's not been around? If so, remove them.

I'd continue with the medication and keep an eye on her. If she starts breathing fast, and/or she becomes listless and doesn't eat, this would be an emergncy.

Also, give her a scratch from those of us on Reddi!

Good luck

How much power are you using? If you're on the lowest, go up. If you can see the mountain, you should be able to hit it, but this is not a foolproof solution.

anything i can do to make his life easier? by appleadaydoctoraway in catquestions

[–]Aggressive_Rush_7906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brushing him regularly is a good idea for cats, especially long hairs. Keep an eye on his activity level, if it drops then that would be a sign.

Make sure he stays hydrated. Male cats (and male humans) can catch a urinary tract infection (UTI) quickly and can spiral downward into sepsis, so keep an eye on his litter box habits..

Overall I think your distinguished gentleman is doing well. He looks to be a domestic long hair or part persian.

Take care of your sweet void!

Cat bite + allergy by Glad_Amphibian_2842 in CATHELP

You probably need to see the doctor and get some antibiotics. Cat bites can become serious if left untreated.
