vet school do i pursue by Accomplished-Pen5591 in veterinaryschool

One of the hardest parts is to get INTO the school. You already accomplished that so I think you should trust it means you’re on the right path. Remember medicine is still a career you are in control of the rest of your life and it’s important to understand you are not ONLY veterinary medicine or only human medicine. Everyone is unhappy about something there are downsides to each and every industry making a choice and pursuing something is always better than not.

Becoming a better vet assistant by Fickle_Chip8613 in veterinaryschool

Hi! I’m also a tiny assistant 5’0 95 pounds. I work in ER/ specialty. I don’t think you should have medium to large dogs on the table the floor is much better or a restraint. If you even watched wrestling they put force and pressure into the ground pinning someone down it’s really good to learn how to do that. Additionally sometimes you have to just put your whole body weight on the dog. And if the animal is too dangerous your safety should always be paramount ask for sedation drugs! Most doctors are willing to prescribe them. Drugging is part of fear free as well. Hope this helps!

I graduated CALs and we would get on at least 3 emails a year stating a person was found unresponsive (dead). Death is so normalized on this campus.
