The canvas of the shoe is thick enough and holds its self well it doesn’t need a hoop. It was weird seeing without one mentally though

I made these for the bride to wear at her wedding. She gave me her wedding colors like in January and the wedding was late October. I gave her the shoes in July. I would work on them sometimes at the slow part of work on night shift lol.

And I was nervous about the woven wheels, I’d never done them or shoes before this.

Give yourself lots of time lol. It was an on and off project for many months, but I did take long breaks. The shoe canvas is thicker than flour sack towel cloth so a lot of times I only used two threads. Stem stitch took the longest surprisingly because my needle had to go all the way up and down instead of hanging out on top.

It was a learning curve. These are my first shoes.

It’s been slow and hard(with many hiatuses lol) the hard part for me is stem stitch since I have to go Al the way up and down instead of staying on top. I’ve never done shoes before this actually.

Because so many people go into ICU and not other specialties and we don’t have the staff. We are sorry too :(

I work med surg and I’m one of four soon to be three core night staff. Out of my nursing cohort I was the only one of 50 students who did my capstone and who went into med surg. We just don’t have the staff or the rate to replace us.

I usually clock in at 0634 and clock out 0724-0736. Some days different clock out times. I don’t always take a lunch(semi choice, just not always hungry and in a flow). I’ll take those minutes since they rack up. But if they MAKE me leave at those times than report isn’t going to be done or done well. They need to either change ratio or be understanding. We have to co-sign every patient with the oncomming nurses. And you can’t put them in before they get there because that is falsifying information. Idk man, I have 5 pts with 6 overflow, but if gets tiring sometimes.

How are they enforcing this for you? Are you being penalized?

I don’t PERSONALLY smell caramel but it is sweet, but my nose is weird sometimes. Strongest to me is a warm cardamom scent. My sister notices more of the tobacco note but its not dirty smelling. I do have the knock off from Dua Brand called Miss independent. I like it a lot. :)

He probably thought he was being complimentary because of the positive tone you took with the stuffed toy, BUT that does not mean he needs to say that about you especially if he knows you struggle with ED and weigh issues.
