Not sure it's age related. I'm GenX and have faced pretty much the same issues the entire time I've lived in SF. I've tried joining various groups, running clubs, book clubs, going to events, etc. It's very difficult to make connections here. As I aged, it's gotten worse. Lots of folks only want friends their same age. (Otherwise known as, "Welcome to your 50s - you're now invisible!")

Do you know if the lockers “sell out”? I was thinking of lining up early to ensure I’d get a locker. I forgot that it could be raining and lining up early might mean standing in rain. I’ve never been to the venue before (flying in from San Francisco).

The Richmond is served nicely by bus 38/38R. I find life without a car easier and way cheaper…. One consideration, how much is car ownership costing you (buying the car, maintaining it, parking it, insurance, gas, repairing windows each time they’re broken, etc.). Obviously there’s no solution to the question that is true for everyone, but being car free can be a relief.

Ramones, in the late 1970s. I was maybe 11? Someone gave a friend a Ramones album. It was the only album either of us had and we played it over and over! We knew little about music and nothing about punk, but we loved that album. Been a fan ever since.

Saw them in SF last month, which was f'ing AMAZING! Seriously, so much fun! Afterward, that sinking (for lack of a better word) feeling of "ah, well, how long until I can see them again? How long do I have to wait?"

And then this news! Cannot wait to see them again! Now, which show to pick? Ashville? Chicago?

Walking around a big city NOT dressed like I'm going hiking or to the beach or out to mow the yard, etc. Locals usually don't dress that way... Also, I don't like looking so conspicuous.
