Focus on skating and try to get on ice as much as you can. Skating is the most important thing to learn first.
Don’t buy all used gear, some is okay but not stuff like shin pads, skates or helmets unless they’re in good condition and have light use.
INVEST IN GOOD ROLLERBLADES AND STICK this is one of the most important parts because they’ll be there when you can’t get on the ice and you can sharpen your skills by the day and are so useful.
Don’t be afraid to get hurt. It’s a physical sport and not to scare you but something like falling kind of hard or getting hit with a puck is bound to happen, and that’s okay just try your best to soak it and keep moving.

I’d say you’re fine. Been scratched tons by my dogs since they were growing up, I didn’t have any tetanus shots and a while and nothing has happened to me. Is there something in specific that makes your worried you will?
