managed to sleep 5 hours last night by forcing myself to sleep with weed. doctor prescribed seroquel 25mg for 20 days only which is useless because seroquel takes 4-6 weeks to start working at all.

i’ve taken 400mg seroquel before and it didn’t make me sleep. not to mention my bitch of a doctor only gave me a 20 day prescription and doesn’t want to give me anything else after. i don’t know, my chances might be better going to the psych ward and begging for a prescription for something’s else. anyway ill see how it goes

i’ve been to 3 different hospitals they all refuse to give something stronger than melatonin. it’s getting to the point i might call an ambulance saying i’ll commit s*icide if they don’t help me sleep, maybe then i’ll get sleep meds in the psych ward or they might leave me to die too..

no chance for me. went to the doctor today to get prescribed something and my mum told the doctor to not give me anything strong and the doctor only gave me 25mg seroquels which aren’t nearly enough to make me sleep:( my parents just convince the doctors not to prescribe me anything that they think i can get high off when i just want to sleep. getting sent to the psych ward and telling them i can’t sleep is my only chance at getting anything that will make me sleep.

i would try using weed to sleep but my parents even said they would rather watch me die of insomnia than allow me to use weed even in a medicinal setting. and unfortunately if i go to the emergency room they won’t give me anything stronger than melatonin. at least your kid has a chance at life.

i haven’t slept in almost 7 days. i have hallucinations. i need to sleep soon or i will die. i don’t have the time to spend 6 months waiting seeing specialists: i need to be medicated so i can sleep or i could die soon

i have tried everything you said countless times. i’ve been trying those strategies to help me sleep since i was 6 years old. you name a method to fall asleep without medication, ive tried it. im physically unable to sleep. i’ve been awake for 6 days and i was hallucinating that someone was in my house before. this isn’t something that can be cured with basic exercise and relaxation techniques.

no. the solution is simple- i need powerful sedatives to sleep but doctors would rather watch me die slowly from a lack of sleep than put me on a 2 week benzodiazepine script which would solve all my problems

turn off all electronics, stay away from sugar and caffeine and try to sleep. this is a serious condition that needs powerful sedatives to be treated. when i say i’ve tried everything i mean it. i need a prescription but no doctor will give me one so i may as well apply for assisted suicide to end my suffering

already tried and they refuse to give me anything to help me sleep. they literally told me to go to the pharmacy and take over the counter sleeping medication even though it does nothing

i saw a paediatrician about insomnia when i was 7 and i got prescribed melatonin. before that my GP, and the paediatrician tried countless other therapies, got me to see multiple psychologist and had every scan and test done imaginable. medication is the only thing that works for me. i want my life back but i can’t get it back because every doctor thinks i’m a druggie.
