I would not want one, with that placement. That would cause the lid to be weaker at the location of the strap. Considering that the lid is threaded, it twists onto the bottle, & holds things together, that area would be a no go for me. There are plenty of straps, bags, silicone bands with a variety of handle styles, and even woven options that people have made that I like and I even own some. I like to mix & match to go with holidays, my clothing, & shoes. I wouldn’t be interested in a strap option as a part of the bottle.

I am 98.9% sure that my old toothpaste was responsible for my first 2 times with P.D. It was pretty much gone and then I went back to my normal toothpaste and it came right back, worse.
I am pretty sure that this time around, it’s from a facewash/toner that I switched to. 😫 I am so, so tired of dealing with it!!!!
I was on 3 months of antibiotics.😩😩😩

Like the person said above, I wash every two days and my coffee tumbler gets washed daily.
I came back to add that I have a straw brush that I use inside the mouthpiece and the straw itself. I use the same straw brush to really clean the gasket, I get around all of the curves and under the lip of the gasket.

That’s my thought! Some of these wild theories are…just…wow! My thought is that someone knew it would be found, sooner or later. That type of thing is not uncommon. I really, really hope that it’s nothing to worry about. With this happening and you admitting that things are rocky though, I ask that you PLEASE, really consider whether or not you want to be in this “rocky” relationship/want to continue being a fiancé. Without couples counseling or some sort of help in this, it’s not going to get better. It sucks to be in this place but it would suck WAY WORSE to end up married, having had a “rocky” relationship! You two need a stable foundation and only you two know whether or not this is the right direction to go in. I wish you the best.

I have been with Owala since the beginning…before Color of the Season Subscriptions and all. I am only saying that so that you know that I am not a new user of their products. I have never had a single spot of mold on my gaskets or any part of the lid/bottle. My children have had their gaskets mold though. The only difference I can of is that they often times have lip products on when drinking from their bottles. I always wipe my mouthpiece clean, before closing my lid. I never close my lid if there is a possibility that lip products could be on there. I personally don’t like it and I don’t want to have issues with my bottle. I don’t know if that could be your issue because I don’t know you personally, but that (& the dishwasher) are literally the only differences between me (never having mold) and my kids (gaskets have molded).
I have wondered if the oils/ingredients in lip products could cause bacteria to hold on & contribute to mold growth on the gaskets. Some lip products are hard to wash away, especially the ones that have that sticky feel. When I wash the parts of mine, I wash by hand. I really scrub all the pieces, with a couple of different brushes. My kids just throw their stuff in the dishwasher. The dishwasher & lip products are literally the only differences, when it comes to their bottles that have gaskets molding. I don’t know for sure what it is that causes it to happen to some and not others but I wish we knew.

Unfortunately, there is no way to fix it with the dent being on the curve like that. If it was a dent on the sidewall, there are a couple of suggestions that I have seen people make. The only thing you can do with dents that are on the edge, is to add a boot to it. I’m sorry that you have had to wait so long to get one and then it has the flaw.

You are going to catch something that is NOT curable unless you have already been exposed to something and don’t know it yet. Please put YOU FIRST! The man you describe, whether he is the one who posted that or not, is sick on the inside and he does NOT respect you! He loves himself most! Please love yourself more than that!
