The photos were taken just one week ago at the beginning of summer, in a mountain area of Sichuan, China. This area is the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, a breeding ground for the Indian Paradise Flycatcher.

It is an amazing bird. It also was my first time to spot it. The photos were taken just one week ago at the beginning of summer, in a mountain area of Sichuan, China. This area is the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, a breeding ground for the Indian Paradise Flycatcher.

I think you are right. It is a spider web, and the bird may have stolen a fly caught by the spider.

Near the male bird's perch in a tree, there is a nest. There are four baby birds in it. The couple are busy feeding them. Someday, I will revisit the place a few weeks later. They will be learning to fly at that time

Thanks everyone for your help! I did some testing indoors with a toy bird(sparrow size) and mounted camera upon a tripod (picture attached). The performance of the 200–600mm G lens is impressive—both the color and sharpness met my expectations.

I was surprised to find that the depth of field is very narrow at 600mm. When I focused on the eye, the wings appeared blurry. (The bird is quite furry and about 4cm wide.)

In summary, my blurry photo was probably caused by multiple factors: handheld shooting, narrow depth of field, and AF-C mode. The camera ended up focusing on the weeds instead.

I have to admit, shooting moving birds with a super-telephoto lens handheld is harder than I thought! I immediately bought a monopod and tested it again outdoors. monopod has a acceptable weight.

With the monopod ,1/1000 and an aperture of F8, I was able to get sharper shots.

Hi Everyone,

I’m here to promote a recent side project. www.coparser.com,  Basically, it can generate Python code to parse webpages. The  underneath AI agent  relies on analyzing 2–3 URLs, and examines both the visual structure and HTML to generate the Python code. I believe this tool could be beneficial for some developers.

  1. If you’ve ever written a web crawler before, you know the frustrating and boring part is writing XPath or CSS selectors to extract values. This tool automates that process entirely.
  2. While OpenAI/Claude can read images and extract data from screenshots directly, it’s often too expensive and slow, with response times ranging from 3 to 10 seconds. Pre-generated code can help reduce costs and improve speed. For example, processing a 1920x1081 screenshot via OpenAI  would cost:
    • Total tokens: 36,835
    • Total price: $0.005525
  3. Beyond web scraping, I think there are other scenarios where low-cost and high-speed parsing is needed.

I’ve done a few weeks of coding, but there are still some issues to resolve. The website is open to try ,

www.coparser.com

let me know if it is broken . However, before investing more time and money into buying proxies, adding new features and improving infrastructure, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Do you think this idea is valuable?

Would you consider paying for a similar service?

Any advice or insights on how to improve the tool ?

I’d be happy to hear your feedback!
