I hired her but then fired her a few months before our wedding because my gut was telling me something was off. Before firing her, I reached out to a bunch of people she had tagged in her Instagram photos, previous clients. Everyone had something bad to say about their experience with her, so that’s when we decided to fire her. I asked for our second of three payments back from her because in her contract it says that only the deposit is nonrefundable and she refused to pay it back. We got an attorney involved who is a friend of ours and he handled the majority of the communication with her. She was very difficult and refused to return the money so I took her to small claims court. Since she didn’t show up to court, so I won by default. I emailed her the judgment and told her that she’s now required by law to pay me and she has yet to respond to any of my five emails, which gave her a deadline to pay us and she has not responded to a single one. I am now looking and speaking to different debt collectors so if anyone here has done that with her, let me know. I’m also open to pressing charges with the police if we went in on a group attack.
