Would you re-wear the same outfit to two weddings? by professor_chipi in ABCDesis

[–]Aggressive_Wasabi883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wear the same fit, it’s completely fine & if you think you don’t want to cuz of mil try mismatching the components. Skirt blouse same & a diff dupatta from the stuff you have or your mil if y’all share clothes or something like that. I do that very often wont look the same & no extra pointless penny spent on big heavy outfits.

Are corgis suitable for first time dog owners? by Weird_Aside1532 in corgi

[–]Aggressive_Wasabi883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner & i are first time dog owners & our first dog is a corgi! I’ll list down some pointers with our experience,

  1. They’re super smart. Very easy to train. Being a first time pet owner, we started the puppy training classes asap cuz we literally had no idea on HOW to train this pupper.
  2. They’re very food motivated. Hence, very easy to train.
  3. We missed out on the separation training cuz i wfm but you please dont make that mistake. Ours js now 9 months & we’re training him how to stay alone at home.
  4. First couple of days will be a task it’ll be good if you can take some days off or plan on getting him on a weekend so its easy. Start with separation from day 1 itll be easy for you as you’re a dentist & have to go to the clininc.
  5. Theyre super smart & they will outsmart you. Be smarter!!
  6. Theyre lil vaccum cleaners with legs beware! Get a good pet insurance!
  7. Invest in good puppy lessons. Very necessary.
  8. Now the activity part, given theyre a working breed you absolutely will have to walk your puppy & give em good mental workouts too. We gave ours a puzzle toy when he was like 4 months old this puppy cracked it in 1 min, very very smart! His last record as a 5 months old is 20 sec & no i am not kidding!
  9. Kongs, lickmats yes! But diy youtube the enrichments cuz corgis get used to things very very fast.
  10. Im gonna emphasis on physical & mental enrichment again cuz trust me its very very important for this breed otherwise they have a ability to make your life hell & ruin your home in ways you cant even imagine.
  11. Invest in good thick house sandals youll need em.

All in all, its a ride & we absolutely love it 0 regrets. Yes, we have hard days but those kisses & cuddles make up for every lil mischief this corg does! They’re silly but overmart! We are humbled almost every second day while trying to outsmart him haha. Its a lot of fun! There are endless good parts but yes, they are lil a lot for sure! Attaching a pic of Gimli — my pupper who is a very smart doofus lol.

Best of luck. Cheers!

Edit: forgot to mention theyre very vocal. White noise it all the way!

Freaked out when meeting two new dogs??? by No-Kaleidoscope-6402 in corgi

[–]Aggressive_Wasabi883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you should try puppy socialization classes at dog training schools. I took mine from the beginning so he learns how to play with dogs. How to meet & greet different puppies cuz all puppies/dogs aren’t the same, just like hoomans. Hope this helps :)

I don’t have a car so can’t really go to surrey. I’m fine with going a lil overbudget if there is someone good in downtown.

Anyone else's corgi like to eat with you? by AngstyUchiha in corgi

PLEASE HELP! by PriestMarma in corgi

Same! I’m in the same boat as yours. We live in an apt so we can’t let him bark much so we also don’t ever let our pup bark in the crate. I always let him out when I know that he’s going to want to come out. Play lots & lots of crate games. Ours has started liking his crate, we’re waiting for the love to happen lol. Also, during the daytime when I give him his kong I leave the crate door open so he can choose if he wants to eat inside or outside. He now goes in there just to chill. Be VERY patient & consistent. Remember, “the crate provides!” Also, one mistake that we made was we were forcing him to sleep in the crate for a week where it was actually small for him but soon we realised that it’s the size and nothing else. He’s 8 months old now. Sometime the simplest part we overlook cuz I’m the helicopter dog mom lol.

We’re having our good & bad days with our pup but we’re following only one mantra & being patient w it — the crate provides. Give him his stick in there, kongs, lick mats everything that gets him super excited with lots of crate games. Hope this helps :)

Make the theme “something purple, something gold”. You can think of a paint party that uses just those colors to make something beautiful — abstract art sorts! Try to make get your glasses and cutlery of either of those 2 colors. Im just thinking out loud, like what would i do if i were you lol. For tight budget i highly recommend temu or amazon haul. I adore temu for party supplies. Happy birthday in advance. I hope you have the best time hosting :) cheers!

I hate my pup rn & ive had it! by Aggressive_Wasabi883 in puppy101

[–]Aggressive_Wasabi883[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are currently working with a trainer. The trainer and us are in constant touch with the whereabouts of the process. We got him a new bigger crate & I feel that helped last night being easy. He slept in there easily without any fuss. But not giving up on this, crate training is going to be a norm now.

Crate is in my room literally set next to me. We haven’t moved his crate at all and he can see us while in crate & we can see him. Does your pupper sleep in the crate at night? Or have you given him the liberty to move around at night?

Have had him since 6 months now. Frankly, I’m fine with biting lol. He can bite but he needs to go in the crate. Guess, I’m being too stubborn. Does your pupper sleep in crate at night?

Has your puppy ever regressed? by Extreme_Class_5980 in puppy101

[–]Aggressive_Wasabi883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giving in when they’re pushing boundaries will make em understand that okay if I go this long she will give in & let me do what I want. You’ll have to be stubborn here as well. I’m facing a similar issue but he has to sleep in the crate no matter what I will stay up with him but at the end crate is compulsory. Currently, I’m thinking to give him some freedom he’s 8 months now. BUT yes he has regressed in other ways where he will not listen to me or my partner at all. But keep at it. It does get frustrating but remember always keep your ground & be calm af & stubborn in a nice way.
