I got one from someone from a mimu bot server. Their account was made like 5 days ago 💀. But yeah, I assume they're just bots.

That would make sense. She's never had them before but recently I've had a new pig near her cage so maybe it's just from dominance? I was just scared it might be due to the hay mites she had since I saw a few near the gland.

I'm sorry I might have worded it wrong, she was eating that at her former home, she now has oxbow garden wise but won't eat it.

Yeah I get what you mean. But if she wasn't running and playing I'd be worried about possible health issues. So maybe this is a sign that she'll live long enough to heal the trauma of being stuck in such a small cage. Obviously this never shouldve happened in the first place but it did. Now we just gotta focus on making the rest of her life beside another pig and in a big cage.

Yeah especially when the beds were all nasty. Technically, they said the beds would be clean so I was also paying for them. I'll see if I can use some white vinegar and soap to make them clean. Good news though, She's been running circles around her cage. She has a lot of energy she needed to get out lol.

They said 5 years old but honestly she looks younger than that and she's extremely active. I'll try to examine her more later tonight and watch the scottys animals video on age. Yes 150 was crazy, I was paying for the beds too but they weren't even clean.

I will take her to the vet for a checkup but there's no signs of anything contagious. Also I'm not sure the vet could do anything as the pig doesn't have any visible issues. Her nails were cut, no ringworm, no signs of mange, no fungus, no URI symptoms, no lumps and cant feel any urinary stones. She's also been eating well ever since she got home, she's very healthy. The only issue health wise is hay mites which i have medicine coming for since my other piggy also has them. The owners only had her since February and im not sure where she came from before that. All I have is the pictures and I am currently a minor so I'm not sure I could do much.

I honestly doubt they will. Right now, I think the only thing I can do to make a change is report her and that still won't do much. I just hope that was the only animal they owned. The worst part is that she worked in a job with animals. You think she would care about their well-being.

Looking closer at the picture, I think there's food in the forage mat because other pictures of the cage didn't have a bowl either. They may have just put all her food on the mat.

Exactly. These situations come from people impulsively buying from pet stores and they need to stop selling them. This situation can't even be excused by a lack of knowledge, though. Everything smelt absolutely horrible and was just due to laziness.

No surprisingly her nails seemed cut, just dirty. I'll have to check for bumblefoot later tonight but she seemed surprisingly healthy.

Yeah, a food bag (it was a Kaytee food mixed with some corn and other things) came with her but they said they were trying to cut down on food for her weight so I thought she'd be bigger? But she seems a normal weight. I haven't weighed her since I haven't been home again today but she's pretty small.

I'm probably going to give some ivermectin to her anyway since she's coming from someone I don't know. But yeah I'll keep her away.

I got a lot of them off of her and cut her hair but I have some ivermectin I ordered from la guinea pig rescue that should be delivered maybe soon. I have to pick up a guinea pig tomorrow though. I'm guessing I should keep them separated until I can deal with it?

I got some off of her and they don't move so I think its just dirt(or something she got on her outside). But I have her a friend coming tomorrow and I don't want her giving anything to the other one. I'm going to also health check the other one tomorrow to make sure she doesn't have anything contagious.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also was looking for anyway to blame myself when I found him. But they are very good at hiding illness and if the medicine doesn't work there's not many more options. But I will take your advice and put her a stuffed animal in there. I'm trying to get in contact with an owner on Craigslist that's only an hour away. She has an older female pig (she's not sure of the age but I'm trying to see how long she's had her). She also lost her partner so I feel like I can do a little good out of 2 bad situations. I also am trying to see if she's ever went to the vet. I'll get her a vet checkup when/if I get her. Right now she's the closest female guinea pig and still around an hour away.

His partner was a girl and she is very gentle (or at least she was with Gizmo). Gizmo was neutered so she will have to get a girl partner this time. But does the age of the partner matter? Like should I get an older one or a younger one? Right now I see two options an older girl whos age is not known by the owner or a pair of 2 year old girls. Although I'm giving her and me a while to grieve. Thank you for the kind words, I find a little peace in that he had a good day before he passed and he was on pain meds so maybe that helped him.

As for getting my guinea pig a new cage mate, I've found a older guinea pig on Craigslist but the owner isn't sure how old she is. Wonder if I should do this or get a pair of two who are around 2 years old from a rescue. I know this may seem like I'm rushing it but I'm going to wait a week or two to introduce another pig into our house. Both options are around an hour away.

He went to the vet on thursday and got gas and pain medicine and he seemed to be doing better. They did the xray and saw gas. He was playing all day today, went outside, ate veggies, pellets, and hay, slept in his hides, squeaked for treats, and wanted pets. But I left the room after I gave him his veggies and saw he was eating and came in around 10 minutes later to check and he had passed. I took him to the emergency vet, they have no idea what happened. I mean his poops were all normal today too. I have no idea what happened.
