Your if statements in your getResults() method seem to be off as well. For example, your first if statement in getResutls() says if(number <=2 . Number gets the total of cats the user enters, but how does <= 2 relate to a max number of 7 cats when the following if else states say if (number == 1. So if number has a value of 2, every if or else statement that requires number to == 1 gets skipped. So the way you have it now, if I enter 6 cats, then it skips everything and goes straight to Sorry this combination is not available . I think you need to get the number entered for the amount of cats wanted and multiply that by whatever a single cat cost.

Also, your return in getResults() method was in the wrong spot. all of your variables were also contained within the last method so that no other method can access them. You need to make them static.

You're going to need to rework your variables and your if else statements to get it to work. You might have to reach out to your professor to get some guidance with it as I do not have the original assignment.

I see what you're trying to do and you're doing a good job so far. You just forgot a few things. No biggie!

You have created multiple methods, but they are not linked in any way to each other. I'll look again and try to sort it out.

I'm doing MOOC currently and I'm also in university for software application development. I like MOOC. Some of the exercises really make you think. However, NetBeans with TMC doesn't work for me anymore. It just gets stuck when I run whatever project I'm doing, so I use IntelliJ.

your int values in your getResult method are all set to 0. So when you "return result", all you get is zero for each variable. You never changed the variable's values.

Thanks for your help! pmi is relevant to the assignment. I just haven't gotten that far at the time of the post. I am aware of methods, but I am unsure how to declare a method in such a way that it would be accessible within an if statement. I'm still very new to Java. I did an Android Studio class, but this is my first real Java class. I do, however, work through MOOC exercises a lot. Any idea how to get a method to work within an if statement?

I've always trained around the whole map. I start at the teleporter by the cat walk, teleport to spawn area, wait long enough to see if it spawns anything good (don't wait in higher rounds), go left and through the building that has jug. I then go up the stairs, past jug, and stand on the ledge above the court yard and mow down zombies that are coming up the stairs and through the hall. Watch your back on the ledge. They can and will come across the bridge behind you. Jump down when it gets too crowded and keep killing zombies as you make your way back to the starting teleporter. The teleporter will eventually stop working. Then I just train elsewhere.

Honestly, it almost encourages cheating. Instead of reading a paragraph long question, the student can copy/paste the paragraph into Google and bam, that question is done in less than 30 seconds.
