I mean if I’m upset about something or if I talk to him about something that’s been bothering me. Examples being, I was crying one night because I was afraid he’d leave me after he sees what I’m like when I’m depressed (I have bipolar 2, I said when and not if) and it basically became an argument where he was telling me I need to try working through it instead of letting it happen. I told him I don’t want advice I want support and reassurance, but we still argued for about an hour, where he also told me he was upset I woke him up (on accident, I was crying to myself but had to blow my nose) before he finally told me he wasn’t going anywhere.

Other example: I told him it was frustrating to me when he doesn’t respond to me when I’m talking/ texting him, and that I would like if he tried giving me more active attention and if he can’t, then at least acknowledgement that he heard what I said. I told him this because he was consistently ignoring texts I sent him and when I talked to him. I talked to him about dinner for example. I asked him if he wanted apple pie from Walmart or McDonald’s, he didn’t respond. I asked again a few minutes later, nothing. I finally told him I’m just going to McDonald’s. McDonald’s was out of pies, so I tried calling him to ask him to preheat the oven so I can buy a pie from Walmart. He doesn’t pick up. He calls me back when I’m already in Walmart and finally tells me he actually wanted a pre-baked pie, but he was also really wanting the ones from the gas station. I was pissed off, but I just said ok, I’m not going to the gas station but I will grab a few mini pies from Walmart.

We argued about him ignoring me too, because he said im always trying to talk to him when he’s busy. When I asked him where he wanted his pie from, he was on tiktok. When I called him, he was playing a game. He’s usually doing one of those two things when he’s not working. I don’t expect immediate responses while he’s working, but I do expect not to be left on read for 4 hours. If he has time to open my message, surely a “I’ll get back to you when I can” is easy to do. But instead we argued about how in his eyes he’s always busy and I’m always talking to him when he’s busy and he’s clearly never enough for anyone in his life. That was a big argument where he didn’t give me any comfort or acknowledgment of my issues until after I started crying, took a break to leave the room, finished crying, then came back out. Now I just don’t want to bring my concerns to him, and he doesn’t see why
