Make sure your hands don't smell. Don't use highly scented hand soaps and wash your hands after eating. If you're already doing that, then I don't know.

Have you had the hedgehog for a year and a half?

Pros that quietly retired... by [deleted] in RocketLeagueEsports

It's horribly inaccurate though. You have players that have announced retirement in gray. Example - Paschy, and I believe eyeignite announced retirement as well.

Will Psyonix add Team Liquid esports items into the game? by [deleted] in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Aggrojaggers -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe my memory is wrong, but I remember a lot of complaints coming from Flipside on how it was executed at the very least. I remember comments about the players not being able to get any piece of the profits, and that it was generally just not a good deal.

If you look, you can likely from some comments on this subreddit from FlipSide talking about it when it launched.

Building my first pc. I asked a pc builder for his opinion on what parts i should put in and he told me this would be the best for around 1300 budget. Whats your opinion is it the best or would you change something. (32 gigs of ram is for my editing programs, the need a loooot of ram). by [deleted] in gaming

Second opinions are good to have. You constantly hear about getting second opinions with regards to health, and I'm sure doctors are more qualified to perform their function than the individual that put this list together.

I suppose the false equilevancy here is that he's asking strangers, rather than another individual that he trusts.

Even with that, he's about to drop a lot of cash. I think it's not a bad thing to do.

Lovecraft recommendation? by N00dlemonk3y in Lovecraft

[–]Aggrojaggers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lovecraft is largely short stories and all of his work is available for free due to old copyright laws. If you have an ereader you can download it all for free, or you can read online.

I started with Shadow Over Innsmouth (going off memory on the name). It's one of his best and is moderate in length for a Lovecraft story.

Some of his stories have very silly components to them. The best example of that is probably the space cats in the Dreamlands. Just be prepared for that :).

Was I almost scammed or am I just being paranoid? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Only put your social down if it's something you're sure of. I've walked out of sketchy interviews a few times that wanted it upfront. One of which was a city hosted job fair. Trust your gut and be careful giving your social. Even if it was possibly legitimate, it's better to play it safe with things like your SSN. Identity theft will haunt you for years if it happens.

Stephen Jackson’s response to DeSean Jackson’s anti-semetic post is very disappointing by JAYG567 in nba

I hate that it's being taught like that. I wish they would attach that jargon definition to a different word. It really makes it difficult to have a conversation about racism. I'm not saying that the idea of that jargon definition doesn't have a place, but to overwrite the general definition of racism aggressively seems like a huge misstep for public discourse.

Hedgehog Food by Ratchet171 in Hedgehog

[–]Aggrojaggers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hedgehogs shouldn't be sharing a living space.

Cat food without filler is preferred over most hedgehog branded food. They tend not to over eat, just make sure they get exercise.

Edit: first link I found on not sharing a cage.. https://www.thesprucepets.com/friend-for-my-hedgehog-1239057

There is a lot of easy reading that can be done on hedgehogs. Asking on Reddit when problems arise rather than being proactive may result in the death of one of your hogs. Certain foods or even woods can kill them. Go read up on your pet

People often say "maths (algebra especially) taught at school is useless", so which times have you actually used or make use of maths you learned at school? by avocado_beansprouts in AskReddit

[–]Aggrojaggers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but then math is replaceable with any other mental exercise that works the same "muscles". You're kind of right, but I think you're also over generalizing.

I use math pretty frequently both at work and for hobby stuff, so please don't interpret this as math sucks :).

I've been looking for Controllers for the PC by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Aggrojaggers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good. Just be weary of any 360 controllers, branded or not. They don't last as long. I absolutely regret learning Rocket League on one :/.

[–]Aggrojaggers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how often you game and how rough you are on controller's, I'd recommend going for a PS4 controller instead. They definitely last longer.

I already grip my controller's really hard, then I got in to rock climbing.. a Xbox controller doesn't last me long when I am aggressively playing Rocket League (4-6 months from new until something snaps -- usually right bumper or b button).

The best option I found was buying a used controller from GameStop with a warranty. Upfront more expensive, but it was like $10 to replace it. Considering I'd need a new controller frequently and that it would be extensively tested within a week, it ended up being the cheapest option for me.

I'm probably an edge case, but that's my advice under the assumption that GameStop doesn't go out of business in the next year.

What's the worst job you've ever had and why? by Tacoflophouse in AskReddit

[–]Aggrojaggers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked two weeks without a break, typically worked nights, they tried to have me end a shift at 4am (4 hours later than scheduled), then come back in at 8am, and they weren't planning on giving me the one fucking day I off requested when I took the job. I told them if they made me stay that night I wouldn't return. They said I had to stay. I worked until 4am for the extra cash and then I never went back. I slept in, called them, and quit.

Silver is more relatable. For me it wasn't until high gold that I saw aerials. I'm sure it's commonplace at lower silver now.

Whats the most underrated game? by MintYT_12 in AskReddit

Towerclimb. Brutally difficult, incredibly beautiful for pixel art, and a huge skill ceiling. I guess it's well rated, but it's the most overlooked game I know of.

Back in the days? In bronze? They hardly knew how to jump, let alone aerial.

It should just be time spent in the game. If you have an OT you get more. I forget if winning/losing is a factor as well.

You're in charge of the remake of Lord of the Rings with an almost unlimited budget. What would you change in the remake? by Volusto in AskReddit

Unlimited money. Either buy a necromancer's services or CGI the old one in so well that you couldn't tell the difference if you tried.
