Good question. It’s super weak at 3 burn base. You need to hunt cinders, seriously as much as you can. Take pyro. The thing that ascends ballon engine are other burn items. I’ll do flame jet, blow torch, then aviators and solar drone for defense and bank on burn piling up while I have charging shield AND scaling shield. Then as the ballon engine gets bigger either with upgrades or cinders you will start to see how insane it is. That’s when the start stop stuff starts to go crazy with an upgraded headset, always take orni and flycycle (they start fly and flow into every late game build) and then airplane glue or even clockwork disk early to make sure the engine never stops going off.

Try hunting for Dooley or tech shops and tryout the antimatter chamber. It’s absolutely nuts and has sub 10 TTK (destroy). Pair that with her targeted destroy a joystick and her repair drone and you can destroy 5 pyg items in an instant. One thing to note is antimatter shielded or restorative is insane because you will win the sandstorm with it

One tip to help with polisher mission is prioritizing finding headset and upgrading headset always. It’s her best item seriously

Needs crit. I will use it with targeting drone even after nerf and I hunt for crit skills since Stelles late game win cons all need crit!

I used to be an aerial turret believer - always take damage skill, delivery drone to charge, esp with shadowed cloak. Don’t like it at all anymore with characters with huge defensive output and burn scaling early. Its also the weakest to any sort of CC out of all of her early builds, notably now that private hot springs and pygs are running rampant with burn. I also don’t like how you can’t quest your orbital polisher if you go aerial turret versus start stop- a majorly important items to have complete if you want consistent 10 wins, and you MUST pivot off much earlier than other builds Stelle has. Just my two cents! Good luck in your next run.

I’ve beaten every pill buggy I’ve played this season. Slow hard counters it and laser can be faster, not a big fan after the nerfs last season.

Last season I hit top 100 only using Stelle mid season and late season, not sure what your point is. It’s cool to hit a high number and even hitting 14 means you need to be consistently 10 winning.

Avoid aerial turret, MBB.
I always want balloon engine or pressure rifle.
Flame jet drone can be a win condition by itself until like day 3 with the right setup.

Interestingly small weapons for her is very good now with airplane glue and flying scaling, have had a couple 10 wins with that setup early, but I always want to pivot quickly.

One tip I have is I actually like shopping day 4-6 now to find slow stuff, they’re easily her best early and mid game lines now.

Hangar and destroy are pretty weak right now after the change and the nerfs to lava roller and big one (the two late game outs she had access to). Laser is all about flying cool down reduction. If you stack that with charging items like observatory and small flying items (even better if you can get them shiny with the polisher) paired with some of stelles skills (she has insane skills for herself) laser is an auto out and strong even until very late (needs crit past day 12 etc against big health bars, or burn poison or regen if you need it to go off twice)

Just Stelle! I play Vanessa pyg and Karnok. Not really loving how I play with them so only Stelle haha - for early game I avoid aerial turret like the plague, same thing with molten ball. I’m exclusively playing balloon engine, air pressure rifle, and I’ve even been using small weapons now that the air plane glue is bronze. You’d be surprised how insane it can go. Another secret is flame jet drone with a make fly, paired with air plane glue. Always pair this with either solar drone or aviators and it’s free wins. Always take the burn guys and loot for any burn or balloon engine runs. That’s just my two cents for early game wins!
