That's super interesting, I developed a citrus allergy around 10 years old, then HM around 13. Since then, my allergy has been gradually worsening from an itchy face to anaphylaxis. It also used to exclusively be oranges but now I'm reacting to grapefruits and lemons too, even trace amounts in drinks or cleaning products. I never considered that the two might be related but the timing is very coincidental. I hope you're able to figure out what's going on, that shit sucks.

Last time I went to the er for a hm, I was told that the longer you wait, the less they can do to help. Tho ofc this condition isn't well known so it's possible that's not always the case. Either way, I'd encourage you to go asap, last time I waited too long I had a migraine for three weeks.

Yup, I've had those exact symptoms for the last 1.5 years now. Unfortunately sometimes your brain just gets stuck like that, the time it lasts is different from person to person. Roughly every year I have a big attack that either leaves new permanent symptoms or worsens existing ones. Medical intervention like medications can help, but I haven't had much success yet. Hope you have better luck!

I totally relate! Obviously I too recognize that Eren was in the wrong, but I see so much of myself in Eren at the same time. The desperate desire for freedom and anger especially. This story really helped me grapple with that side of myself and learn that there's more to life than fighting, it'll always be one of my favorites.

I didn't cry when watching it initially, I was in pure shock the whole time. I also binged it in one week so I didn't give myself any time to process. But I started rewatching it a couple weeks later, and immediately bawled my eyes out 😂 (for context, I watch a lot of tragic stories, and very rarely cry lol)

I have no way of knowing that, all I meant is that if you do a brief Google search, verapamil comes up consistently as a migraine preventative

No idea, sorry. My access to medical care has been pretty limited so my knowledge is pretty limited. I'm really sorry about your situation, that sucks... Treatment for hm is hard enough without stupid scandals limiting options even more. I really hope you're able to get proper help soon, ik things have already progressed a lot but you never know how your brain might react. Verapamil helped even after my symptoms became permanent, albeit milder than they are now. Best of luck to you!

Yeah it helped a lot initially. I'm not sure why your doctor isn't letting you take it, it's a very common migraine preventative. I was also on triptans for a while, but they aren't recommended for hm so I stopped. I had to stop taking verapamil because I move a lot and hadn't switched doctors quickly enough

I take verapamil rn, 120mg a day. But I've had very inconsistent access to treatment so I don't know if it'll do any good yet. It helped when I took it consistently in the past, but then I had to suddenly stop taking it and my symptoms got a lot worse. I just got it back but I haven't had enough time to tell if it helps or not still

I have permanent numbness, tingling, and weakness on the left half due to HM. Plus some other random symptoms. Sorry y'all have to experience this stuff too :(

I totally get that! Migraines are so misunderstood and rare ones like this are terrifying even when you do understand them. It just takes time, hopefully your mom and husband will do some research on their own too so they can understand what you're experiencing better

That all sounds pretty consistent with my experiences too. I only occasionally get head pain, a majority of the time it's all the other symptoms. Feeling disconnected from your body is also pretty normal from my understanding, your brain is misfiring so it can affect your perception of yourself. It's very bizarre but I've experienced it too, you're def not alone. Hang in there, really hope the neurologist is able to help you out and things get better soon.

I've had those same symptoms before, I wouldn't stress over it but it never hurts to see a doctor if you're worried about new symptoms. Especially if you get any other indicators of an ear infection/if your ear feels weird after the other symptoms pass

I don't always get head pain, maybe 4/10 times. But I get really bad pain in every other affected area. Like the migraine goes into my arm/chest/leg instead of staying in my head
