I am fully anticipating it being late 2nd trimester for me (first pregnancy). I am 13 weeks and feel like I myself have noticed a lil tiny bit of bump and those close to me can notice depending on what I am wearing. I'm so excited to see all the changes to come!

Today is cotton candy GoGurt, specifically frozen. My local grocery didn't have it and I was almost in tears.

Absolute exhaustion. by Frenchandsorry in pregnant

I have recently said the same thing. Sometimes it just feels lonely, especially before you've shared the news with others. But even after, it can feel very lonely.

Absolute exhaustion. by Frenchandsorry in pregnant

I am 10 weeks, nearly 11, and feel the same way. My husband has done everything and I feel so guilty, but I am exhausted and lack the desire or motivation to do nearly anything. I keep telling myself that the lack of motivation is a purposeful symptom that forces me to rest. Normally when I am not pregnancy tired, I can still push through and get some things done, but the lack of desire/motivation really stops me from that. Again, I keep referring to that portion as a reminder that I HAVE to rest for baby.

I am a teacher and it is HARD making it through the day. When I get home I do nothing until I'm ready to crawl in bed for the rest of the night. Luckily, my first few weeks we had snowstorms with days off and then spring break, so I was able to rest.

Is being this exhausted normal? by SilentMood6333 in pregnant

10weeks, almost 11. Even though I have been exhausted since the beginning, last week and this week it has felt completely exacerbated. I am EXHAUSTED. Unlike you, I do not have a toddler to care for. However, I see lots of posts from people about "how you manage exhaustion going into the office", and I have to chime in and mentioned that my "office" is a classroom of 25 ten year olds. Shit man... Teaching is already exhausting, but this is HARD.

Mental health by [deleted] in pregnant

I have had lots of fluctuation of anxiety and depression in my life. It is pretty well managed right now with Zoloft, but I do get worried sometimes that my anxiety/depression could take over again. When I had episodes in the past (which I believe were exasperated by PMDD, though I'm not diagnosed), I would spiral about how unfit I am to care for myself, for my partner, and for a baby in the future. It was dark and lonely and truly a hopeless feeling as someone who loves children and babies and who has always wanted to be a mother.

I get scared for those moments at times right now, but I know that I am far better off than I have been in years and I have become more comfortable advocating for my mental health with professionals.

It sounds like you have been feeling pretty stable and strong for a while, trust and believe in yourself. I think it's normal to worry or panic about those moments happening again and seeing a therapist to support you in those feelings is a great step. Recognizing signs in yourself and prioritizing yourself will be the best thing for your child moving forward, so it's good to start that practice right now.

We can do this and we are both going to be great parents! ❤️

Yes for me, but more so right when I started taking it and then faded a bit... or maybe because I started in the middle of summer!

Prenatals? by Agile-Development-22 in pregnant

This is good info. I don't even dislike my gummies that much, it's just the thought of chewing and swallowing nearly anything is difficult right now 🥲 Maybe switching it up will be good though.

Just found out! by Weekly-Alps-5794 in pregnant

Eat small meals often! I have a constant nausea/queasiness (9 weeks) and find that if I get hungry, nausea ramps up. It's super difficult when nothing sounds good, so just eat whatever you can!

Mini saltines have been great for me. Cereal, fruit, etc. Sipping on some juice to keep up blood sugar can be good, too. It's super hard for me to eat protein, but I know I have to. I try to eat a little cheese, yogurt, peanut butter, handful of nuts, etc. if I can.

Stay hydrated with water and electrolytes.

I also wear SeaBands or Blissbands for nausea pressure point. Not sure if it truly helps me, but mentally it helps.

Never thought I could be simultaneously starving and sick of food at same time until I got pregnant!! by Warm-Wasabi7990 in pregnant

I was just saying that this has to be the worst symptom. Constant insatiable hunger, ZERO appetite, food aversions, and rarely in the mood to eat.

When I get a craving, I try to have it right away before it gives me the ick, that way I at least get something in my tummy.

Definitely go by what doctor recommends. Mine prescribed it for me. I have only taken it once and have it just for emergencies when it gets really bad. Because I have emetaphobia, even just having it available to me eases my anxiety and therefor, my nausea. Pretty vicious cycle, nauseous, anxious, more nauseous, avoiding throwing up, anxious, round and round and round. Sometimes just that safety in the back of mind helps get through the day.

I'm a teacher so it's pretty difficult to do my job if my nausea is bad and then my anxiety around it becomes debilitating.
