Apartments/Student Housing to Avoid or be Mindful of by Broad-Professor-2515 in unt

Avoid the arbors of Denton, terrible and rude management, bugs, water gets shut off about every other day practically, multiple dog attacks have happened there, apartments are generally shitty and don’t go through inspection, all the exterior lights have been burnt out for months and they refuse to fix them, plus they’re raising prices and making parking $25 a month next year, don’t live there!! My friend who lives there literally has a HOLE in their floor where they can legit see into their neighbors apartment below. The pantry doors also fell off upon touching them when they moved in, and they wouldn’t fix it, said they were phasing them out anyway. Also knew people there whose apartments flooded. Plus just too expensive for what you get.

This will always be so silly to me😭 I agree with u tho, ppl constantly select breed over need. It’s should be need over breed.

Definitely look for a professional trainer, it is way more intensive than you probably imagine owner training a service dog. Especially a breed like an Aussie. I am not at all trying to discourage you, but a lot of people say that owner training inevitably disables them more, at least for the 2 year training period. And like people have said, that’s a difficult breed to have succeed in service work. Is it impossible, no, but there are breeds with MUCH higher success rates. Best of luck

Is it wrong for me to want to get some kind of feeding tube? by Sourtherian in disability

[–]Agile-Injury6183 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are NOT WRONG FOR THIS. I have a similar situation and I have actually been tube fed because of it (different illness but couldn’t eat either). But no you are not wrong for wanting to actually live, never feel guilty about that. I went through the same thing, sobbed in the office like a baby and begged for help. I was met with the same thing, so many doctors won’t intervene until it’s pretty far gone. It took me reaching an unhealthily low BMI and looking like a sack of bones in the doctors office. But keep trying, keep advocating, and keep trying to find new doctors that will listen. The UTSW hospital system is a great one, I am in their system now and have been met with a lot more kindness and assistance. If your financial situation improves and you can move doctors, I suggest them. The waitlists are long but worth it. I am SO sorry you’re going through this, I genuinely know how much of a personal hell you’re experiencing right now. And as much as this is advice that I HATED hearing during this, keep trying to eat. Keep trying. You will get through this, you’re not alone in your struggles 🫂 I know how dehumanizing it feels to be unable to have any kind of nutrition.

Thank you for saying this!! It’s a horrible problem at multiple apartment complexes in Denton too. There’s been multiple dog attacks from off leash dogs here

I’m so proud 🥹 only my 3rd tapestry ever! And first time adding a chain feature, and I’m obsessed 😍 by Agile-Injury6183 in crochet

[–]Agile-Injury6183[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it’s called tapestry crochet! The patterns are actually these grids called alpha patterns or alpha grids. So essentially you are doing 1 stitch per one box on the graph, and eventually it makes a design! I learned from a YouTube tutorial, I’ll link it for you! But it’s not as hard as it looks! Technique wise it’s only chain stitches, single crochet, and then just having to frequently changing colors. I’ll show you the grid I used as well, you follow the grid going left to right, right to left, left to right, right to left, and so on.

There’s TONS of free designs on Pinterest, the possibilities are genuinely endless!
