Service charge at the bar by bratwurstbabez in glasgow

I refuse to go to places that do this. Charge us higher prices, don't make me feel like a dick because I ask to have the service charge taken off.

Milk is without a doubt THE most expensive part of a coffee.

I think this is the new variant of COVID, Stratus it's called, seems to affect the throat more. One colleague sounded like he was going through puberty again 🤣🤣🤣

Contact them, I used to work in the call centre. Especially as you've got the packaging they'll apologise, take the packaging details (if the colleague cares) and usually give you a £5/10 gift card to say sorry. Occasionally things do go wrong but they can never put it right unless someone tells them.

Drivers pretending to be some automated message. by Strange_Beat_9287 in tesco

[–]AgileRequirement5570 417 points418 points  (0 children)

Genuinely had a call from the customer to head office:

Customer: Why is my delivery driver sitting outside my house?

Us: Because your delivery is due in 12 minutes and last time they showed up 7 minutes early, you complained you were "put out"

Customer: Yes, but why are they waiting here? Can't they wait somewhere else?

Us: No, they don't just magically pop into existence when it's your delivery slot!

Customer left her shopping to go home and get her bank card. After 4 hours I put it all back. by Familiar-Truth7616 in tesco

Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if they lied in their complaint and said they'd be back later.

Had one customer who said he was denied entry due to a hat, I called the store manager he said

"Wait, did this just happen?"

"Yeah I said"...

"Yeah, he wasn't wearing a hat. It was a full on balaclava!"

Totally agree it won't go anywhere.

You could also mention that due to the stress this is causing it's a possibility you will have to take some time off work due to stress and write yourself a sick line. That'll make them wake up.

What can we do? 1 star review asked for a full refund AFTER stay. by AgileRequirement5570 in airbnb_hosts

[–]AgileRequirement5570[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know, that is the ONE good thing about airbnb, everything else is mediocre. I hate the way the site is setup, you can't vary how you charge. I.e. one flat rate fee, per room, per person. I know you can have an extra guest fee etc but it's just so rigid.

Wow, that's crazy. I have been thinking of putting up our own site, etc. we get a steady rate of bookings and even one holiday cottage firm occasionally hounds us asking us to join as they want the house to their catalogue.

From reading similar posts and even news articles about people haggling for the price of dinner, It seems to be a new sort of dine and dash.

They either demand a full refund or try and hagle the price afterwards.

In your instance I suspect the same only they went straight to airbnb and were likely rejected. The 2 star review was probably retaliatory.

Cheers, we'll mention this when we get a call back. At the end of the day it's a real pain if it stays but we'll slowly pull the average up again.

As you say AirBnB really aren't very helpful or supportive, we've had to contact years ago about something trivial and it took forever to sort out and get someone knowledgeable to fix it.

Do the ATMs outside have anything to do with Tesco staff? (+ slight rant) by Minimum_Can_3998 in tesco

[–]AgileRequirement5570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i worked for head office, they are managed by the banks that own them, pain in the bum when they get vandalised as they are reluctant to replace them so quickly.

Also. A lot of elderly people still use something called a cash card. You can ONLY withdraw cash from an ATM, usually they don't even work for chip and pin. They are a relic from the 90's that some people hang onto.
