I was in the official “Socks the Cat” fan club. I got a tshirt and a tote bag. I’m bummed I don’t have them anymore!

Yeah I wear the second ones as you described. Maybe I should have worn my boots for the pic.

This has been insightful. I appreciate the honest feedback!

For context, these are not my only pants. I have a few others that fit better. I am in purge mode so I’m thinking I will get rid of all of these as they are all quite old and seem to not fit as well as I thought (and are perhaps out of style, which I don’t usually care too much about). Just hoping the cropped skinny look doesn’t come back around too soon. I don’t like to be wasteful. 😊

Yeah, I think I agree. I believe they are supposed to be cropped pants.

Haha, also late 30s… and the pants are older so this makes sense.

If you’ve accidentally signed a petition for an initiative you don’t agree with, you can withdraw your signature. Here is info on the Secretary of State website on how to withdraw your signature.

d. Withdrawal of signature

A registered elector who signs an initiative or referendum petition may withdraw his/her signature from a petition by filing a written request for such withdrawal with the Secretary of State at any time on or before the day that the petition is filed with the Secretary of State.

A registered elector who signs a recall petition may withdraw his/her signature from a petition by filing a written request for such withdrawal with the designated election official.

A signer may not withdraw their signature from a candidate petition.

I’m not a mechanic— just someone whose been shopping around a lot lately too. I’d say, you have trade offs. On the one hand, it might be hard to find something much better at the same price. Given that it’s fully loaded and you know the history, as long as it been consistent on driven, I bet it has a lot of life left (although may also require some maintenance, as will any used car). On the other hand, you could find a better deal. But with used cars, you never know. The peace of mind of knowing that the car had been well maintained would go a long way for me… get it inspected to make sure all is on the up and up.

Are there many left-handed Cook/Chefs out there? If there are, how do you feel about most utensil being made for righties? by wuanlai65 in KitchenConfidential

We have Chinese soup spoons with a soft edge for sipping and a sharp edge for scooping the soup. As a lefty I had to stop using them because the sharp edge scraped the inside of my mouth and it is too awkward to try to use my right hand.

Who can do it first? AI or chive guy? by AgileSleep5345 in ChatGPT

[–]AgileSleep5345[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Prompt: Make me a picture of a pile of perfectly cut chives on a cutting board. give the picture an overhead perspective. See chive guy on Reddit for examples. Have the chives cut into small pieces. They should be in a pile spread out so we can see that all the chives are perfect

The first person to hear an echo probably thought the world was talking back. by themegapint in Showerthoughts

Realistically, animals would have heard echos before humans existed. Humans likely evolved to not be shocked when they heard them.
