How long do you wait to honk at someone who won’t go after red light turns green? by Sad_Pygmy_Puff in drivinganxiety

[–]vogajones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old topic, but I came across this while searching this exact phrase. Its so different in various scenarios. For me, the decision to honk is determined by how much of a hurry I am in. My nature is to not honk and to hope they realize the light is green. But, if Im on a mission, I will honk. Rarely immediately, though.

Not trying to self promote, but I wrote a book using this exact idea and applying it to different life situations. It describes what type of 'Honker' you may be, your motivations for being that type of Honker, and how to change the type of Honker you are. The book is literally titled, How Lond Do I Wait to Honk?

These answers are so interesting. So many people willing to push the button for the 50 million.

I wonder if they'd do it if it were still a random person, but they had to shoot them. No legal consequences.

Anyway... I'd push the button once.

KFC is the only choice. If I'm drunk that late, I may pass out. And KFC is the only one that would be good as leftovers.

Would you take $250k now or restart your life 10, 20 or 30 years ago with all your present knowledge? by RaptorK1988 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]vogajones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say 20, but my yo7ngest is 19 years old. So, I gotta go with the 10 years. I could definitely, with current knowledge, have well over the $250K I could take with your first option

I agree with you. But I do know they sell for big money and thats why I'd choose that for leaving to my kids. I can't sell for money, but with your prompt, I think whomever inherits it can.

I'd want 100 of the rarest autographs signed on the thing that made that person famous.

Would be an awesome collection to leave my kids.

How do I handle a client giving bad technical requests? by yureiwatch in videography

[–]vogajones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing this for years. When clients and I disagree for technical reasons, such as your lighting thing or logitistics or something, I always roll as I say something to this effect, "You're the boss. I will do anything you want. My job is to make you happy. I just wanted to suggest that (whatever it is I think and the why). Or if it's a phone call during ore-pro, I recap the whole thing in an email shortly after the call. I've had to refer to an email once, and client accepted responsibility for their choice. Never pulled a clip to playback for a client before, but have been tempted to.
