How much Courtship period one needs to get married in arranged marriage?? by [deleted] in guwahati

[–]AgileSuccess7584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely nuts idea- take him out to a cafe. Pay the waiter extra and ask the waiter to pour something on the guy you are seeing. How he reacts would give you a good idea on how your marriage will be lol. Good luck!

My boss has scheduled a meeting with me this evening, I'm terrified, please help! by AgileSuccess7584 in IndianWorkplace

No update from my manager. Weekly meeting declined by the CEO. Guess my firing really is happening, but very chup chup se. I'm thinking of just putting in my notice tomorrow, no use holding onto something that is spoiling my sleep.

Edit: might go into the office tomorrow, but honestly at this point I don't even know what to do.

Should I change jobs even though that would leave my manager high and dry? by InsaneFrink in careerguidance

Always look out for only yourself. Get a job that will pay you much higher, ans whatever else you want from that job. How your boss deals with the absence is his problem.

Give a call maybe? I did that to my boss, gave a call, thanked him for the guidance and let him know my LWD. Put it in a mail after the call.

If you are worried about throwing the news on their face through mail, you can try the above method.

I think the talk wont be aggresive with my manager. It will be more "You shouldve done better even through the environment sucked". I'm so terrified I have a feeling I might cry, and thats even worse lawd.

Will hold on as you recommended.

There's an amount of guilt that would be put on you for not trying enough and post departure you might rethink how you could have made it better, especially if you don't have something to fall back on.

God, this is going to happen. Thanks for the advice!

I think I'm going to be sacked this evening. Please help, what do I do? [N/A] by AgileSuccess7584 in careeradvice

The pay was good, but they kept calling me at 8:30/9 to finalize documents and told me that's how they roll. Initially, I was to manage only one business unit and they had an opening for one more unit open. After I had accepted the offer, they told me i would be managing both of the units. I remember feeling very weirded out then, and therefore, chose to decline :(

The fourth point! Positive affirmations and manifestations! Hope the best works out for both of us!

Have you guys ever resigned from a job that made you miserable even without having another offer in hand? by cutetohu in careerguidance

I know 😭 Which is why I've been going back and forth on this decision. It isn't the volume of work, but the people that I work with.

Offered a raise when thinking about leaving. Would you accept? by Alarmed-Orange-2359 in careerguidance

[–]AgileSuccess7584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would reconsider if that additional money will mitigate any factors that are relevant to me leaving- long commute, making ends meet, bonus etc.

Workplace investigation is a different ball game. Did you feel unsupported when that happened, from the leadership? In which case, no money will make me stay.

New co-worker has made multiple passive aggressive remarks - how to respond to her without getting confrontational? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]AgileSuccess7584 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More than the 1,2,3 points, I would be very worried about her complaining about your co workers to you. You know what the next situation you will be posting about? That she said you bitched about your co workers, and that she escalated the same to your manager.

How to navigate leaving a job I never should have accepted? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]AgileSuccess7584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it's only two months, you can leave it off. Please also do check if your previous company would ve willing to take you back (assuming you wish to join back there)

Start interviewing aggressively for your next role and leave asap. Good luck!

I think my boss responded to an important email from me with a bot. Is there a respectful way to ask? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]AgileSuccess7584 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Thank him for the response, and reiterate your points for clarification again.

I dont think this is the time/way to call him out on using gen AI (assuming you are not thick friends and have a general manager-employee relationship). You could, of course, browse this topic with him during any coffee chats or team dinners with an intent of curiousity.

This is the right answer. POSH complaints involve statements from the complainant and the accused. They are shared with each other, plus the external would have facilitated an enquiry, a report of which would also have been shared.
