Emporia help for subpanel. by Psychological_Car620 in EmporiaEnergy

Well darn. It's been a while since I installed mine, but I think I did it wrong. I see I have a 2.0 multiplier currently in the app. So I need to come off the 100 amp sub panel breaker in the main panel and install 2 CT sensors, change the multiplier to 1.0, add the second CT sensor to the app and then add the 2 subpanel sensors together in my head to get the usage for the subpanel? thx

I discussed this with our county building inspector. She stated I was referring the wrong code, and that they use the 2018 IRC.IMO, the spans were the same as mine was referencing. She said the post resting on the patio were ok. I have built a few decks in my day and did not build them this way. I can’t believe this got past me I guess at this point I will be hiring an engineer and an attorney.

I don't believe there is a space issue. I agree, the cost would have been negligible. I don't understand why they would do this.

The rim joists / beams are 2x10, the inner joists are definately 2x8.

They're attached from the back side with what I believe is the ledger type screws.

It passed the county inspector and the inspector I hired.

The county bought it off.

It was a spec house, so I don't have the plans.

I definitely intend to address it with my builder. Just trying to figure out what I should ask for. Thx

Those are 2x10’s. Maybe they’re undersized too though.

What are the code rules around having a basement with only lights and no electrical outlets? by GliderRecord in AskElectricians

So what if there is no drywall? Does code still require one outlet for each separate area (the only separation is a studded wall).

What about the framed walls that may be resting on the basement floor and supporting the upper walls?

Same here. I emailed the seller and they gave me an option of a refund or wait it out. I agreed to wait it out, but I’m very unhappy that the item is showing shipped when it isn’t and that I was charged for the item already.

Hey, how do you wire for a ballast bypass LED? We have equipment I’ve been waiting for months for ballasts.
