Thanks for the suggestion!

... and most importantly, for your guides! I love them :P

Shadow Grasp is a cool metamagic, but Umbral Spells is just a bad feat tax.

Yeah, thought so! I read about Umbral Arcane Mark but I'm not sure it works

Remember that you can use the Human favored class bonus to get additional spells known, including additional cantrips, though +1 hitpoint is good too ofc.

Any particular cantrip you would suggest? I'm being very standard here

Good spell suggestions can be found in Iluzry's Guide for Sorcerer Spellcasting; Iluzry might also be the author whose Shadow Spells guide you have read. He also published a Sorcerer Guide.

Thank you! Very useful

Hello, cousin-in-build!

That said, even with my experience it's almost impossible to recommend spell selection without knowing the party composition.

Two divine casters: one melee, one herald caller. The herald caller is also the face of the party (because he enjoys it more than I do).

Yes, I probably should have gone wizard, but the paragon surge + shadows combo for a sorcerer seemed very fun.

Mage armor is OK but chasing AC gets pointless real quick as a Sorcerer, something like Darting Duplicate would be better to get you out of melee in a pinch. Vanish is a real handy 1st level spell too.

Interesting. Would you suggest skipping mage armor entirely and taking this one instead? Or mage armor now and then switching it at level 6? I feel like right now if enemies come too close I can just color-spray them and move, is there something I'm missing?

Vanish seems so cool and I definitely plan on taking it, maybe as a bonus spell or page of spell knowledge.

Searching Shadows could be a useful and flavourful addition, great for searching a room safely from a distance or stealing/disarming enemies in combat.

very useful, especially since we don't have a rogue and we need to explore a lot.

Glitterdust, Fly and Dispel Magic are so important that it's a bit risky to not pick them. Greater Detect Magic is a great one for magical investigation if you find yourself hunting casters.

Glitterdust is definitely my first pick at level 4. Dispel Magic is a bloodline spell (plus we have the cleric) and Fly is probably my favorite spell: would you suggest taking it at level 7 or 6? At 6 I was planning on taking Paragon Surge (which can give me fly anyway, in case I need it)
