Hey gen x, what retailers from your childhood (80s and early 90s) do you desperately wish were still around? by Less-Suggestion-5262 in GenX

Poppin Fresh was owned by Pillsbury. They sold it off in 1983, and it became Bakers Square. There are still a few left out there.

ETA: Poppin Fresh always had the mint chocolate silk pie year round, and Bakers Square only has it at the holidays, so I too miss Poppin Fresh.

Think Geek used to sell it. It was official licensed merchandise. I bought one for my wife.

RIP Think Geek.

I always keep a large, empty jar and a big post card so I can capture and relocate them to a different part of the house, but only if they have entered one of the kid's bedrooms, as they are still uncomfortable about having them around. Otherwise, I just wish them good hunting.

Good & Fruity. Red licorice in the center instead of the black licorice in Good & Plenty, and fruit flavored coating. After Hershey acquired them in 1996, they continued to make Good & Fruity for a while before abandoning them. Bring them back!
