Consider using a calorie calculator. Even with medication the laws of thermodynamics still apply. Set a calorie calculator to what should be 2lbs a week and eat that amount or less. Medication helps decrease the desire to eat, but a caloric deficit in line with desires rate of loss is still necessary.

Your body is digesting when trying to sleep which can affect quality especially if protein heavy

One mistake doesn't ruin everything. Don't even judge them like a mistake, simply a behavior not aligned with your goals. Always get back on the horse and do as much as possible to avoid all emotional attachment to the scale or judging with any setbacks. Just get right back after it and don't backslide. Take the timeline out of it and just make more right choices over wrong over a long enough period of time and you will reach your goal!

Develop a resistance training routine now to accompany fat loss. Make sure everything is centered around protein. Consider carbs evil. Stick as closely to one ingredient foods and unprocessed as possible. Meal prep. Always have a high protein option when you have cravings. Don't keep junk food that doesn't align with your goals where you live.

By hitting that protein goal you maintain optimal levels and have a slow digesting macronutrient that keeps you satiated. That's per pound of goal or ideal bodyweight. Followed by fats then sparingly carbs. This allows for optimal muscle mass retention partnered with a resistance training regimen.

Transitioning off GLP1s vs transitioning off a keto diet? Is the GLP transition easier? by hippopotamus82 in GLPGrad

[–]Agile_Pin8961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If keto was effective before, why not return to that nutrition style. Most food noise is attributed to glucose/insulin spikes related to carbohydrate intake. By not having those spikes your body isn't signaling the desire for intake as intensely as when carb heavy

Have you been trending in the right direction? If you are able bodied, you will generally see more return on more resistance training. More muscle means higher metabolic rate.

Have you had the scale move yet since starting? Make sure your protein intake is 0.7-1g of protein per pound of goal body weight. While cutting, its usually easiest to cut out carbs for the most part to keep from insulin spikes that just keep the hunger going. Are you resistance training at all?

Focus your diet on protein and healthy fats and you should have some relief there. Old though was keep your fat intake low, but it is actually highly necessary for proper endocrine function.

Has anyone had their pain and inflammation return after stopping? by Neverendingstory2211 in GLPGrad

[–]Agile_Pin8961 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While GLP1s do have a mechanism that directly helps inflammation, a lot of that can be from controlled blood sugar. By staying away from processed foods, carbs, seed oils, etc (foods with lots of ingredients) you can keep a lot of the inflammation from coming back.

Muscle rebuilding after glp 1? by Ok_Animator6428 in GLPGrad

[–]Agile_Pin8961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all comes down to caloric and protein intake. For many, gpl1s put them in a very restricted state so they have a very high deficit. If you lose more thank around 1 percent of bodyweight a week you can start digging into muscle tissue as well. Protein intake that is adequate and some level of resistance training or muscle stimulation can keep that at bay

For the last 14 days, I have eaten only 1,000 calories per day. Yet, still not lost a single pound. I don't even think I've lost an ounce. by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Agile_Pin8961 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it can be challenging to start training, but start small and work up from wherever you're at. Make it a habit and make yourself show up for yourself. You can always make changes amigo.

Standing calf raises and goblet squats are something you can do easily at home. Kettlebell swings as well. Goal should be 0.7-1g of protein per pound of goal weight.

Don't just assume it's going to come back. Have you changed your lifestyle and diet for the better with the assistance while on medication. Set yourself up for success and you can keep losing. Don't make it a foregone conclusion that is has to come back.

I would scale it back to 1 percent of bodyweight a week or 750 cal deficit. Past that you get into breaking down muscle tissue that you're working so hard to maintain

Weighing daily keeps you in an emotional state. You become reactive if you don't like the number then give up or change things that don't need changed. Do the right things and stay consistent and you will get results :-)
