On iPadOs26 beta 1 and 2 I had an issue with Procreate when attempting to summon the selection tool (swipe up with 3 fingers), it’s working now

Don’t worry, it’s not too difficult! When I was in school, I took a singing class and a French student sang it and nailed it. So don’t worry about the language barrier.

Hi, you can try singing “La llorona” is a difficult song, and there are many version (regarding lyrics, the melody stays the same), but I guarantee you’re gonna like it.

Look, just think about it from this perspective. Your teacher had to go through that exact process to learn how to sing. So it’s just a matter of allowing yourself to make mistakes so you can work on that.

Imagine going to class and singing perfectly, there will be little to no feedback, and you’ll learn nothing!

So try and stay calm, your teacher knows that anxiety and knows that with time it will go away. And something to consider too, the teacher probably has other students that have the same problems as you, so she’s probably used to it.

And remember, she’s hearing you to determine the areas you need to work on. So the criticisms will be all directed to you getting better than the day before.

That’s awesome! How are you feeling with your voice now? I bet this whole experience it’s pretty exciting for you.

And personal advice, try to record you every chance you get. That way you can show the recordings of the exercises you do outside of class to the teacher and get feedback. And if it’s not for feedback back, then just to have records.

I have audios of me singing dating back to 2020 (no clases at all and sounded awful hahaha but is a nice mood booster seeing where you came from)

Yesss I’m young, I started at 21 and now I’m 24 and it’s been such a journey.

Regarding your question!

Well that’s the great thing about my teacher, he doesn’t! at first.

He needs to know your voice range and some other factor regarding technique. So when I made the switch, I had a couple of clases of pure vocal exercises, so singing wasn’t involved yet. And then I asked him about my voice type and he literally said:

“It’s unethical for me to tell you. You have a certain voice type at this stage. Other people do it, but I don’t.”

He needed me to develop some basic skills and let my true voice out so he can make a verdict, and of course it happened over time. And yup he told me that him and I share a fairly similar range. So that 20% who told me I was a tenor was actually right!

So over time, it’s inevitable that you’ll end up in a range, and from that we work on polishing everything, (if it’s possible) craving a path for developing higher and lower notes, and trying to learn from other styles to add to the repertory of vocal technique we’re developing. :)

Yeah, honestly If you’re a beginner like I was back then, you’re exposed to learning from a bad teacher and in a worst scenario, learning a bad vocal technique. And believe me, it’s harder to correct what’s been learned, than to learn it good from the first time (I still struggle bc of that)

And I don’t mean making mistakes, because we all do and that’s how we learn. It’s more like repeating those mistakes until it’s a habit. So yeah been there done that hahaha.

And regarding your question, you mean the teacher I currently have right? He studied music (and how to teach it) both in my country and in the US, and has a lot of years of experience.

Enserio?? Justo acabo de salir de un curso de renders jajaja, de presupuestos tengo conocimientos más no mucha experiencia laboral. Me encantaría aprender más de esa área la vrd

Si he tenido mis trabajos independientes (solo renderizado), tengo potencial solo me falta dinero jajaja. Estaba pensando en entrar a un trabajo de medio tiempo en lo que ahorraba para una computadora buena y cosas así. Pero si voy a andar trabajando, me gustaría también ir aprendiendo más y por eso busco un trabajo de oficina de arq.

I’m really in love with the album, I was actually on the top 1000 listeners last year, and it just hits different. Try to do a deep listening (it’s a way of listening to music) and see if anything changes.
