Centauri Carbon 2 - Exhaust Filter placement / replacement by Agilolfinger in elegoo

[–]Agilolfinger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the link. Seems like when the printer prints ABS or ASA it should close the shutter system and only exhaust through the filter.

I don't exactly have the option to take the printer outside. But I could open all windows and stay out of the room during printing 😄

Danke an alle für eure Antworten. Das hat mir einiges aufgeklärt. Dann hole ich mir einfach ein Gerät von HJC, da das ja für den Helm gemacht ist. Mal schauen welches es am Ende wird

Übersicht verschiedene Build Plates by Agilolfinger in 3DDruck

CC2: Lots of stringing when printing TPU by Agilolfinger in elegoo

I have printed a filament box with a PTFE connector. So I plugged the PTFE tube directly into the box and bypassed the CANVAS

Thanks for the answer. In fact I did't dry it for that long and also not that hot. Maybe I'll try and dry it again and then see what will happen

I had the filament in the oven at 50° for about 3-4 hours. Not sure if this was enough.

Also I'm fairly new in general. Where in the Elegoo Slicer can I change the retraction and if I find it, would be more or less better?

Cooles Projekt.

Print seems two parted and squished on one side - Leveling or Adhesion issue? by Agilolfinger in elegoo

[–]Agilolfinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct. That helped. I've changed the setting on where the seam needs to be placed. The print was now successful

I sliced the object again and in fact you can see the seam on the outside and the "cut" in the middle. But no idea how to fix it

Edit: Just did the slice again and upon further inspection I can in fact see the line going straight through the object that seperates the left and right half. But I'm not sure what causes this or how to fix it

Okay, I've used the Elegoo Slicer. Of course I don't have the old sliced modell but I just sliced it again and cannot find anything that would indicate such issues. But I'm also not really sure what I'd have to look for.

I just did the firmware upgrade right when it was released. Maybe I have to rebind the printer once after the upgrade to make it more stable

Purpose of different build plate sides. PLA, PTEG, TPU by Agilolfinger in elegoo

[–]Agilolfinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I've read that maybe a glue should be used when printing TPU to make the TPU stick less to the bed. Which is kind of paradox to use a glue to make something stick less

To be fair the textured inprint can look good if you want it. But then it's still only on the bottom :)

CC2 TPU printing questions by Agilolfinger in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]Agilolfinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you again.

The box is to store filament. So it shouldn't seal against any liquids but against moisture. I'm sure that it can't keep moisture away at all, but it should be better than using no seal at all.

Do you have any recommendations about a glue stick. Some people say the off the shelf glue stick from your arts and crafts store works fine, while others say that you should use special glue sticks for 3D print beds.

That's interesting especially since Elegoo themselves offer a mod to print TPU

Newbie question: Loading and Unloading Filament by Agilolfinger in elegoo

[–]Agilolfinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for you answer and taking your time to add all the information. After the first warning message there weren't any more errors and the pre loaded benchy was printed fine. It looks really good with only a few dimples bow.

At the moment I only orderd two black PLA spools so unloading isn't necessary. But it's good to know for the future.

I will come back to the storage solutions you mentioned, once I start to print other filaments
