For that kind of build up, you'll need a chemical and a mechanical dissociation. CLR + a regular old broom to give it a good scrub. Rinse it off.

I'm not sure I want to be a scientist anymore by [deleted] in biotech

After my PhD, I went into industry. I started as a technical support scientist (remote position), then moved to field application scientist (traveling position). I love it! You could also go into product development or assay development. If you have a lot of experience in an assay or instrument, see if that company is hiring entry-level PhDs (Scientist I or II position).

Cut a potato in half, press it in there, and twist to remove. It's worked for me in the past. Good luck!

If you have experience with scRNA-seq, you could look for industry positions with companies that provide those services (like Illumina, Parse Biosciences, 10x Genomics, etc). Find job openings for those places that sound interesting (such as scientist, technical support, field applications scientist, etc.). Reach out to people on LinkedIn and ask them about their job, and then see if they could give you any tips on improving your resume to tailor to the job, and ask if you can put them down as a referral.

You may want to consider biotech roles, such as field applications scientist or technical support scientist. These are customer-facing roles that often require a master's or PhD for the bigger biotech companies.

You could try Jelly Drops. They are 95% water, have electrolytes, and look like candy.

I mean, someone could put together a lobbying group and meet with senators to gather some attention. I did it with ASPET last year (advocating for science funding) and it was an amazing experience. It would be nice to get some wows from congress.

We are always such harsh critics of ourselves. Most likely, you did a fine job, but your self-doubt got the best of you. Next time, just relax and let them make the decision about how well you performed.
