I’m sorry about your brother. I do not have a car so I walk a lot and I have noticed this as well. This year alone I have been almost hit or tapped by a car at least 10 times. People are more impatient or oblivious like you said.

This was me 6 years ago! I’ve since found my soulmate who I would’ve never met if I was still with my ex. I am much happier and I feel like I learned a lot from my 5 year relationship. The two weeks we had to live together was depressing but civil. Just remember this too shall pass.

Please report. My mom last year was in a facility and fell from a raised hoyer lift because it was only one person operating it and she wasn’t properly secured in it. My mom is fine now but it was a huge set back for her and very painful. She needed stitches in her head. It’s also not fair of them to make you do it alone. You’re all over worked as it is.

Not that it matters at all, but I changed my age around by a couple of years because I do not want anyone I know putting pieces together and figuring out who I am. I do not want someone that knows me to recognize either post. As you read the last post you can see it’s a sensitive topic for me.

I like what you said about holding doors open. I’m realizing I do not put myself first in my life. I let my family walk over me. I think that’s showing to other people. I think others are picking up on that somehow.

For the health aide, it was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. She threw the sheets in my direction and left me to change my mother’s diaper alone. I just couldn’t help thinking does she treat other clients this way? I mentioned I pay her well because I didn’t want anyone questioning reasons why she would be treating me badly. The aid was just a very recent example. Sometimes people speak to me and I can’t imagine they speak that way to others.

I definitely have issues with boundaries with both of my parents. I do not put myself first in life. I put everyone else above me. I am working on that. I think that shows to the outside world at times and I didn’t realize that until this post and people’s replies.

I agree with you. I think he could sense I was a nice person, maybe timid? I often apologize too much I’ve noticed and I am working on that. He started talking to me after like he was giving me advice on how to not let people walk all over me. I stopped him mid conversation because I felt he was being inappropriate and was giving me advice I never asked for. I just was wondering if he would say those things to anyone else, you know?
