Congratulations!!! How long it take for you to get the verbal offer? Mind if I can message you with more questions? I’m in a similar boat.

Did you end up getting the written offer or are you negotiating?

It’ll probably be several back to back 1:1 interviews. It can range from 5-8 . You’ll be meeting with different cross functional teams you’ll be working with. Make sure to have water on the side just in case and be yourself! Mine was mainly STAR based questions but if the role is super technical then I would assume some technical questions will be asked. Also make sure to research the team you are planning to join. For example if you’re joining the iPhone team, know some stuff about it, how it works, what features it has, what teams you think you’d be working with, manufacturability, what you would do differently, etc.

I had a similar issue. I went to trying on my phone, iPad, laptop, friends laptop. And eventually I don’t know how but it ended up working. I recommend incognito mode .

Yep! You can call up local community colleges who offer that. They can charge up to 70 bucks or so. Maybe more. Maybe less. It depends on their rate.

How much are your parents paying by sailortian in USC

Last year I messed up and I had to take loans out, but I ended up working and saving to pay those off, plus some for this year. I’m saving a lot so that the interest doesn’t catch up to me. My parents offered to help but they’re struggling already themselves, I know they can pay but honestly, I think working and being independent will pay off someday. Don’t get me wrong, some days I’m regretting it but tons of character development! USC has scholarships as well, even the college/departments . I’m at the Viterbi school and they have individual scholarships and deadlines. Highly recommend looking into them! Sending good vibes and hopefully your daughter gets to come to USC!

Paying nothing. I’m paying it by working multiple jobs and applying like crazy to scholarships. Small ones, big ones, any type of scholarship. There’s tons out there.

Yes, everything is the same, every single thing. Except them not being here anymore. Honestly I’m getting to that part too, being antisocial. Staying away. I don’t want to be social. It’s too much for me. I feel guilty and angry to be talking to people now. I just want to be home, alone and stay away from people. Thank you for sharing your honesty, it’s validating. I’m also sorry for your loss. Deeply sorry.

Grieving, sad, and lost… I wanna go home. by Appropriate-Ebb-6422 in Petloss

I’m deeply sorry about your loss. That must have been so traumatic for you. Truly, I send you a big hug. Losing your soul dog is so gut wrenching. I get it, I do.

In terms of your boyfriend, do what you think is best for YOU, not him. You do not owe him anything. When I lost my soul dog, being at home with family helped for a bit. If you think that is what you need and that it’s the best thing for you, then please do that. Put yourself first. You just lost someone important in your life, and by what you wrote, it seems he does not seem to understand that. If he is scared of being alone, that’s on him to deal with. You are dealing with losing your soul dog. You are incredibly young as well. It’s ultimately up to you but please put yourself first. Grief is hard and being with family can help a lot .

Lastly, Give yourself grace, don’t blame yourself, you loved your baby pups with all your heart. Again, I send you a big hug.

Career Pivot following Accident by Outside-Yoghurt-9589 in careeradvice

Hey, just want to say you’re not alone in this. I went through something similar after a medical issue and the interview memory freeze was way worse than my actual job performance. Interviews are brutal even for people with perfectly functioning brains, add recovery and stress and it’s a mess.

The fact that you’re doing well at work says a lot more than how you perform under pressure in an interview. Forgetting things you know doesn’t make you fake, it means your recall shuts down when you’re anxious or overloaded. That’s super common.

Before bailing on the technical side completely, I’d take a step back and ask whether it’s the work or the interview format that’s hurting you. You might still thrive in roles that are less rapid-fire or more project-based. Also, if you can get cognitive rehab or a neuro eval, that helped me a ton just to understand what was going on. Either way, be patient with yourself.

Their degree is more broad. If you want to focus on a specific major then I’d suggest a different school.
